One of my professors in college had been friends with the Columbine shooters. He said he stopped hanging out with them when one of them beat a dog to death with a shovel a few months before the shooting.

A guy from my math class in my senior year of high school always asked me for pens and I'd usually get frustrated with him because he'd never take the class seriously and oftentimes he didn't return anything I lent him until the next day. At the end of the semester he got kicked out of our class for failing and was sent to a remedial class, and about 2 months afterwards he stole a car, got into a police chase, and was shot to death when he pulled a BB pistol on the officers.
I mean, I'd never particularly liked him, but I was pretty surprised he'd do something like that. I honestly felt a bit guilty for a while wondering if I could've been nicer to him and maybe prevented him from going down that path by being a positive influence on him, but I eventually had to accept he probably would've done it anyway and I couldn't have stopped him.

    • @JenLyn78
      @JenLyn78 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

That's kind for you to think that way, your right thou he prob would have eventually done something anyway. I try to be kind to everyone I come in contact with because you never know what people are going thru on a personal level, one kind gesture may help and you loaning him pens was a kind gesture so don't beat yourself up over it.

    • @I_Ace

Doubt it. U what have never known in the moment what would have happened to him, u did what u could in the moment from the situation handed to you. Also, What u had on him was a small influence, the things that influenced him to do dangerous activities like that was were big influences in his life. And also it probably wouldnt be wise to be his friend as well. The best balance in the future, imo, (im not a professional just a random guy trying to help out, taking with a grain of salt). Is to maybe ask a counselor to speak with with because u are worried about him as a person. Sometimes its best not to confront the person and tell them to seek a therapist especially if they can be disagreeable, just give a tip to a counselor and she/he will probably do there magic afterward. U did what u could do in your situation, I think u handled the situation fine, most good people would have handled it like that

It’s a WEIRD thing let me tell you
I don’t want to say exactly who I’m related too, but If you google details I mention you’ll know, and he’s not the one on death row.
My step cousin isn’t a serial killer, but i January of 2014, him and his buddy stabbed a guy to death over money
      Ir was brutal and premeditated
I had spent Christmas of 2013 with him.
It was so normal, we did presents and just talked, I remember at the end of the night all of us had a big Christmas fight, and I was shy, but he made sure I was included
One day, my uncle comes over freaking out, and told us what happened.
For me, we weren’t that close.. but it’s so weird knowing he was in your house
His parents are really good people and it broke them
They are still broken, but are doing okay
My family didn’t disown him, but they never excused his actions, and his mom and the murder victims mom still talk today
It destroyed her life, but she’s alive and sadly his dad passed from pancreatic cancer a couple years back
But the main point is, it’s just really weird, and somethings that’s hard to accept

He totally creeped me out in the keyboarding room after class while I was alone practicing (till he came in and started talking really weird) I made up an excuse and left, quickly! A couple of months later he walked in a computer classroom, told a guy to move, guy said he’d be done in 30 seconds and crazy dude pulled out a gun and shot him, then several others, including the instructor! I wasn’t there that day because I had to take my son to a doctors appointment. I never was so glad I had done so!

In high school I was friends with a very sweet, but very troubled young man. He had a hard life and struggled with drug abuse, but he was one of the kindest people I've ever met. A few years ago my husband showed me a news report about a man who had gotten high on meth and accidentally shot and killed his drug buddy. It turned out to be my friend, and I was absolutely heart broken for him. I really hope he doesn't end up killing himself because of this. He always had a lot of mental health problems due to the severe trauma he want through. When I knew him he was suicidal and convinced that he was going to either od or kill himself before he turned 25. I really hope he's okay.

Isn't it odd that so many people who know serial killers just happened to be browsing the same sub on Reddit, within an hour or two of each other? It's almost like, and I know it's hard to believe, but it's like people on Reddit are telling lies, to get some attention

Recently here in my home town there has been a lot of stabbings happening. The stabbings were all random, and the victims all claimed to of not known the person of interest (none had yet died, but gravely injured). It all came to an end after a 70+ year old man was murdered in his own home, and they thought they had found the killer because he was seen holding a knife and trying to unlock someone’s door on their Ring camera a few doors down. Turns out it was the guy responsible for the rest of stabbings happening around town, someone I knew of and went to school with. We had a few conversations, and he always gave off the impression of being a trouble makers, someone from a sad home life forsure. He started using serious drugs back in high school. It was crazy to see him on the news. The police said he had no motive besides simply to kill and that he was a possible serial killer in the making. Here’s the link to his arrest, the whole story lostcoastoutpost.com/2020/jun/3/video-eureka-police-department-hold-press-conferen/

I worked for a trucking company, overnight shift. One night at 3am, the guard shack calls my boss, he called me on the walkie talkie and asked where one of my employees was.
The Police came in and cornered him in a truck he was unloading and arrested him.
I has bought him and my other guys Pizza before the shift for a team building meeting. Super nice guy, I found out later he had beaten a man to death with a tire iron two hours before his shift. I would have never known, or frankly cared, he was one of my best employees and most friendly guys I worked with. I have to believe there was a reason it happened.

My childhood best friends little brother.
They had chickens. He told me to come out to the coop with him so i did. He cornered me in the coop and made watch him torture 23 chickens. Mostly just ripping off body parts and watching them struggle and slowly bleed to death. That was when he was 7 and i was 6. When i was 13 i began getting really into serial killers and had noticed the signs of a psychopath in her brother. I warned her but she didnt believe me. Even though he fit like all but one sign of a psychopath.
We drifted apart because i didnt want to be around him. She contacted me last year (about 10 years since this incident) out of the blue to catch up and let me know i was right. He tortured 3 women. It was basically every type of torture imaginable without going into detail. His dad is a mayor so its pretty hush hush and the small town is really quiet about any gossip. Hes in jail for life. He was proud of himself. Its terrifying.

She was crying that she wanted to go home and him and his girlfriend beat, burned, and drowned her.
They're both in jail now, and when the daycare found out everyone was devestated because she was such a sweet little girl and was never trouble.

Not quite murderers, but I have a couple of stories.
A roommate of mine in first year of university was Peter Chilvers, a former pilot who went to prison for the coercive control domestic abuse of his girlfriend at the time which led her to have a nervous breakdown, kill their son, and attempt to kill herself. She got 15 years in prison for manslaughter due to diminished responsibility, he got 18 months (from which he was released very early) for domestic abuse. He was a very narcissistic guy, who'd cheat at drinking games, attempt to out-stare people, boast about stuff (including having multiple girlfriends at the same time), screw people out of money, and really didn't like people standing up to him. As far as I know from friends of mine who are still in touch with him he's shown absolutely no remorse for what happened, which is kinda right for him, since he regarded other people (especially women) as simply being there for him to take advantage of.
On the other end of the scale of whether there were any red flags about him, as a teenager I used to go to the canoe club with Allan Sharp. At one time I considered him a good friend, we'd paddle together, run together, lift weights together, we won some races in crews together. Even when I took up canoe and he stuck with kayak he joined in crews with me and vice versa to help the club effort at inter-club competitions. He was well respected in that world and even won some prestigious races and we both represented GB at a major race in Denmark. Later he became a teacher and scout leader, and was apparently well respected in that world too for years, until he was caught in possession of CSAM and was lucky to avoid prison, which led to him losing his teaching license. I had absolutely no inkling he was into that, and according to the case summaries I've read he downloaded the material within the time frame that I knew him, and had kept hold of it for years until he was caught!

I frequented a Korean restaurant in BC 🇨🇦 where the waiter/owner would take your order but then TELL you that you were getting something more expensive instead and just walk away.
I thought it was weird, but the crew that brought me brushed it off as quirky since the difference was only a few dollars and the food was always on point so I went along with it.
Not long after he stabbed his wife, son, her parents and himself in a murder suicide.

Robert Coulson, he was in my sisters grade in highschool. his younger sister was my friend. He lured his siblings (all adopted, my friend was his actual biological sister) to the parents house and bloudgened them on by one and tied them up, his goal to set fire to the house and burn it down.
Friday the 13th, 1992. Five in total (two parents, two siblings and older sisters husband that was a constable). All for the insurance money. He was seen by an investigator at the funeral doing a "jig" outside the funeral home.
His friend he recruited to help him gave states testimony and only got ten years, he was hired back to the previous job he had after his release (he was a decent guy, just got caught up with a bad friend). Joke was on him though, my friend had recently given birth and was recovering (she was putting child up for adoption), her last words were "thank you for letting me have my baby" before he killed her. The inheritance went to the baby since baby hadn't been officially adopted quite yet, although he tried from prison to appeal. House went quicker than expected, the water heater pilot light caught the accelerant so they were all found in the living room still bound since our very good fire department arrived quickly.
It took ten years (appeals and all) before he was put to death. Ordered a last meal but didn't eat it.
My sister even wrote him a letter but all she got back was a form letter that basically said "Robert is innocent" from his lawyer that seemed to believe he was totally innocent.
I still think about my friend. None of that family deserved that. The parents couldn't have children and adopted them all and treated them like their own. All that for $750k.

No one will read this but I knew someone that unalived his wife with his kids 10 feet away in a car. This was in 2009 in Florence, AL.
It was a couple. He unalived her. Her name was Hollie Newbury and his is Christopher Rich (if anyone wants to search for the story)
They were both cousins of mine but on different sides of the family so they weren’t actually related. They were together for a long time and used to babysit my brothers and I. They were thought of as the best couple in the family. I have so many happy memories with both of them in them. Never could have imagined he would do this. I was only 12 when it happened.
Eventually she cheated on him and they were separated. The day it happened they were going to meet at my great grandmas house to exchange the kids (who were 2 and 4 I believe). I’m not sure what happened between the two of them that day but something happened to cause an argument where he then pulled out his shot🔫 and unalived her 10 feet away from their children that were sitting just inside the car. He drove that car with 🩸and 🧠s all down the side of the car that the children were in to turn himself in.

He called me the night before his photo showed up on the local news. I saw his mug on the morning news while I was getting ready for work, I was stunned was an understatement. Since I saw him less then 12 hours before the act, the cops showed at my work asking for info. I told them everything including talking to him before his mugshot was released on the news. I knew the guy who shot up the school in Perry, Iowa. I played call of duty with him and the last time was a few years before the incident.

My mom died from cancer 10 years back. She had led a normal life and 2 DAYS before she dies, she tells me “I dated Ted Bundy.” EXCUSE ME? Shows me a picture of HER AND BUNDY AT A FUCKING PARTY. The picture was taken less than a year before she would meet my father and I would be born a year after that. 1 more year and my mom either would have been dead or knocked up by Ted Bundy.

When i was in explorer scouts doing DofE, we had a young scout leader about 25 from a different troop as our assessor for the bronze expedition. For our silver expedition, we asked for him again so we didn't have to have the older guys who we thought were pedophiles. Turns out he was diddling boys like crazy. He only got caught when a victim's younger brother was moving up from cubs into scouts and pleaded with his mother. Made sense why he was trying to buddy up to us so much www.essexlive.news/news/scout-leader-who-preyed-young-1455841

Not a murderer, but an attempted rapist. He was in the same social circle as me in high school. 🏫 I thought he was a decent dude, had a lot of acne though. News broke out that he tried to rape a younger sister of another guy friend. That other guy friend managed to jump in at the right moment & started fighting him. I never saw him in school again, so I assumed he was at juvie that entire time.
