I loved your post office story 😁 my grandad had this old tin with slots in it and it was labelled for each category and each slot had its own section in the tin (I have not explained that well at all) he used to divide his money up in it every week bless him. Love your post office story. I can just imagine the scene. I learned to cash stuff after watching my Grandma do similar with the rent book envelope, the water bill envelope etc. Can still picture her doing it now. What makes that memory even sweeter is that I made my 13yr old son a budget binder for Christmas & he's just been able to buy a railway model he was saving for - £175 😯 (My son & my Grandma have the same initials, just a different order & there's 100yr between them ❤️ He loves that we use his "Great Grandma's system" 😂) xx
