They should released a deluxe edition of I'm With You, a 3 cd set with the album, the b-sides, and this concert on DVD. Maybe throw some interviews and live performances from the tour on there too. You hear me Warner Bros. Records???

To be honest, in this video he isnt doing his best, but anyway he has really nice voice tone, he is awesome in the studio and his lyrics are so fucking musicial that I admire him for that only. Seriously, when you listen to RHCP it sometimes almost feels like he is choosing the words not just to fit the rythm and make sense, but to really sound musical.
I think its because he really only sings in one octave and the 'Pronounce every syllable really loud' and accenting the end of every word really gets on peoples nerves. Personally i love it.

I have this recorded from MTV Palladia and the sound is clearly different from the versions people have posted from the VH1 examples. Palladia sounds more balanced everyone is heard, vocals, instruments, etc.., including the background musicians. Start with a good source... This does have bass and vocals more present in the mix.
I believe that's actually Chris on pressing one of the keys on the keyboard with a 'Hand Clap' voice. Chad and Mauro are just hitting cymbals to give it texture.
