Very good information dear Sister 👍 we get them in our Town but I never knew this is the way to wash it ☺️ The vendor told me to keep rice marinated over night and throw it away next morning I did like that. Why did you do the second grind with garlic and spices ?

Without seasoning is it working fine means there is no dust particles coming in food and how long you used it .

Hey, I did this same procedure, but I still see the sparkling crystals on it, as well as, if I rub my hand on it, the same crystals gets stuck on my hand too, how do I remove them?

Grind some garlic in it if it is from the same brand it working fine but if it’s different brand then I can’t say

I did all this to my granite mortar and pestle, except the last part where you added all the spices, and when i do the test to see if my water will still come out murky, i find that the water is still grey, a shallow pool of grey at the bottom, does this greyness ever go away comepletey?

I would suggest you to do the steps 1 more time and then see maybe it may take little more time Mine is working very well Thank you

Don’t wash the stone, add an handful of rice and grind till fine, remove and grind an handful of rice till finely ground and then wash the stone. In a tub depending how big your stone is soak in water for a day and then repeat with rice the next day by then it should be done if not sure put some garlic and grind well should bring out all the fine top dust while grinding and wash well. Should be ready to use.
