This is hilarious. It took me a bit to figure out that this was all there is to the OTK. Draw Platebreaker and pray to RNGesus for you opponent to get Thekal. Your opponent won't even realize that Thekal is a trap because of how far-fetched and unlikely this combo is. This deck is as stupid as it is genius.

It works horribly lol. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the concept, but this is one of the most inconsistent combos I’ve ever seen (and I know Chump is obviously well aware of this). I would guess you’d have to play around 10 games for every one in which you actually get the thekal into their deck, and that’s a 10% chance only to set up the combo, not play it. You then have to divide that ~10% by the combined probability that they a) never play thekal, b) play thekal and heal their face on the same turn, c) play thekal and some other defensive tools on the same turn (e.g. counterspell, if you’re relying on platebreaker + consecration because your elven archers are gone), d) perform any other action which ruins your combo in some way. Let’s say (very roughly) that there’s about a 50% chance that one of those things will happen. So you have to cut your 10% chance in half to get a (very rough and subjective) final probability of the combo working of 5%. That is extremely rough and I certainly will have forgotten to account for various factors, but I think it’s a good rough estimate: this combo will work *5% of the time*, or once in every 20 games. Lol.

Its funny looking back on this meta, it felt like with lackeys and other things there was so much randomish value. Not quite a midrange meta, and it was hard to tell why you won or lost

You can just draw as much as you can and thus reduce the number of cards you can give to your opponent and hope you dont draw thekal.... this isnt a reliable deck in any way, this is a meme. You dont play this to climb ranks lol so theres no point in trying to understand it really, because it doesnt actually work hahahahahha
