I totally get you. I went natural (by accident) in 2013. For the first couple of years I lived in weaves and braids. Then I moved to Durban and salons were much more expensive than where I was before, so, as a student, it forced me to get used to keeping my hair out. I used to blog and eventually found I felt more creative with my fashion choices, when I had my fro out. Now, years later and in a new city, I feel lazy getting my hair done and the obvious struggle to find someone who understands natural hair and would be gentle with mine. Thanks for sharing your experience, and currently catching up with your videos so please excuse the many (long) comments from my side😂.

conventional eggs R45.00
free-range eggs R75
each time I see what you guys are paying for eggs i feel fortunate. i watch your videos because i barely visit retail grocery food chains. I get veg, bread and meat from local vendors
Oh my goodness 🤯 the price difference is massive! You are so fortunate to be able to get your eggs straight from the farm.
I think I will need to look at vegetable markets or vendors around or close by.
The retailers are convenient transport and location wise on my end. Sometimes I calculate the cost to go to where eggs or something is cheaper and I realise I won’t be saving much🥹😭

Stock cubes are also my fighters.When in doubt add the stock cubes and boil😂😂😂Funny enough,my mom never really used it.😊

Living in the northern part of Botswana and i must say we only get winter from 3am til 8am, 9 am til 12 its spring then 1pm til 4 is like summer 😅
Stock cubes are my fighters, my mom used them when i was growing up (mostly the beef though) i buy all kinds beef, vegetable, mutton as well as chicken

I am a loc girl now, though i sometimes miss my hair out. I am actually caught in between on whether to cut and start again or grow the locs ❤❤

@@henanyhome i have always wanted locs for so long but i was afraid of my hairline, when the micro twist wagon came through i jumped on it.
Its nice but the retire are so painful i don't wanna lie, the headache that comes after i just ask myself is it worth it????
I love the low maintenance key that comes with them i don't wanna lie 🥰🥰🥰🥰
There are few people that i follow and they have been twisting their locs, i was also thinking of doing the same❤️❤️ hopefully i will come up with something that will accommodate me without causing pain ❤️❤️

I love that the locs are easy going when it comes to maintenance hey it’s a great thing. Afro can be a lot sometimes🥹
I really did not know when it comes to renewing/ re-twisting it was that painful 😖
When you are doing your hair the last thing you want is too much pain.
It will be nice to know how it goes with twisting your locs, hopefully it’s less pain.
Maybe you can do a TH-cam or IG video talking about “Things I wish I knew about micro locs (6 months or 1 year later) “ you never know who it might help.

I'm struggling to find a person that will be gentle with my hairline 😢 So I cut my hair yearly

I haven’t seen it here in SA, a friend brought me some from Botswana along with the mabele brown maize meal for pap
The last I saw yellow maize meal was in 90s and you can bet I was not happy.i don't do well with change.i wanna try mabele the sour 1 for porridge.
