Even though the doors likely don't weight a lot, I would still put an angled cross brace in the top empty section of the door. From the middle on the hinge side to the top corner on the latch side.
My mom has always wanted to screen in their porch but here they are about to retire and move out of the city 🤷🏼♀️ I plan to buy the house off of them and it is my mission to screen that porch! Thank you for the ideas!
Great job, love your videos. As a keen DIY’er myself, can I suggest that you bend your knees and not back because it will cause issues in the long run, sorry to be familiar 😊
I am halfway through the video, and I noticed that you did not sweep up the debris first. Are some of those boards laid on top of old leaves etc. That won't be a tight fit at floor.
Cedar is also hella expensive, so pine is a great choice! And I mean, you could treat cedar with chemical shenanigans... but why would you, when you got that treated pine for at least half the price. By the way, if you try pulling the drill while it's still spinning, it's much easier, and the bit won't break. Plus, you can ask for a drill with reverse function, so you get in and out like it's a piece of cake. Hope it'll be useful later on whenever you decide to use one again 😅
I have a small screened in back stoop. We have found that a secondary removable framed screen gives a lot more stability. My parents have a patio that birds fly into and are constantly busting it out due to the larger panel without reinforcement.
This is the kind of project I would start and then realize how annoying it is going to be, so i give up. I admire your tenacity!
Hahaha trust me, the thought has crossed my mind-especially with all of the broken bits 😂
LMAO you and me both 😅
This is so satisfying, your parents are lucky to have you doing such clever work. I can't wait to see the final results!
Thank you! ❤️
It's fun watching how gingerly you handle those tools, not a criticism.

Good call! I'll see about adding some extra support there...
It looks good, very nice design - original and large enough so it's not crowded.
You did a good job 👍🏾
Learnt something new about pressure treated pine and cedar wrt ground contact. Thank you.

My sore lower back thanks you for this reminder 😆

Yes Indeed! Great Work!
Wow! So impressive!!!
You are a wunderkind of construction! That looks fantastic! Talk about a "Can Do" perspective!
Amazing! Can't wait for part 2

Cool design and problem solving!
Dude, this is awesome!

Rigid debris like sticks were moved out of the way. A few thin dead leaves may have stuck under, but that shouldn't compromise the fit.
What a great outdoor space...so open snd roomy...then add cats...I would be out there all the time!
Beautiful job I love it
Not bad, not bad at all, I love it! ❤
You did really well!!! ❤
New subscriber. Looking forward to more content.
Great job!
Sometimes it helps to keep running the drill as you back it out. My wall has taken many a bit hostage.
I have heard the temporary support board called a Jake leg

Ypu neat apright young lady, so brave to use the hammer gun,Id be nervous 😁👋👍
Wow pocket joints and a jig saw. One thing don’t use your level as a hammer.
I’d take up the stones and add more dirt and sand or something to level it out. That or I’d add concrete and level it all out
Why didn’t you blow all the dirt and leaves off the patio before even starting the job?
❤
❤❤❤
Pine, Jesus. Cost
She's a grandmother. She looks 25.
Or u could go to the store
I cant wait to see the screening installed. It appears that some sections are bigger than 4ft. It just doesnt compute in my head.
