@@TrickerDCS Good to see the Viper in DCS is getting some much needed standards. I should have the WS videos just finshed uploading them, just need to make them presentable.
37 miles range its under perfect conditions and hot targets, if the target changes aspect you will lose lock immediately in most cases, untill it is below 20 miles, where you can sustain lock more easily, and if its cold it will not acquire lock or even see the target at any distance, look down or up seems to have no effect on it
Remember that detection ranges varry with target RCS value defined inside of DCS. For example JF-17 and MiG-21: 3sqm, SU-27: 5.5sqm. Range detection mentioned in video is just for specific aircraft.
Great video. I THINK i even understood some of It!! I'll have to go over It again with DCS opened Up and in the cockpit though. Am i blind , or is It that you haven't done a tutorial on TWS and engaging múltiple targets? If you have ,could you possibly point me in the right direction!! Many thanks for your videos!!!
That FCR nerf though.. that hurts, especially as there's plenty public data around showing much further ranges. They just caved in against the Hornet whiners.
@Admiral Kipper "F-15's radar is considered large high-end radar with track range over 143Nm and search range 160Nm. Same goes to F-14, Mig31 and Su-27/30/33/35 are all fitted with large radar. F-16's radar is medium size mid-end radar with track range depends on which type of radar between 45Nm to 80Nm and search range less than 100Nm." That's sounds like ED has it about right.
Hearing about all the new fixes makes me more excited than the actual features. Looks like a solid patch from Eagle Dynamics!
Very little stuff in terms of f16
The DTT and quality of life improvements on the radar though. Yea it shouldve happened years ago but it's refreshing now it's here
Thank a lot for that detailed explanation of the new changes to viper. Easy to miss out those little but vital changes.
Nice job, dude. Thanks for taking the time to highlight the latest updates!

Another great vid. Thanks for your work! Where is the SEC light please?
It's on the master caution panel on the right, just under the RPM gauges for the engine.
@@TrickerDCS Thanks again man!
