  • This usually happens when a Shimano-style brake cable anchor is forced into a Campy-style receiver cup. This 1980’s Modolo Flash had the correct Campagnolo cable, but it still got smashed in there somehow.
Obviously this video uses the Modolo lever I had on hand, but this is generally how you remove a stuck anchor on other lever brands.

Nice. I didn’t know campagnolo had proprietary cables.

Campy does their own thing. Most modern replacement cables are universal (stamped with “CS”) and work with both. Jagwire does this for sure, probably others do too. I’ve definitely seen filed down Shimano anchors buried in Campy brake levers before. Thanks Josh!

I just subbed to ur channel because u r teaching me new things. I used to mainly watch RJ and a few others but your content seems unique and covers info most others dont. I had no idea Camp had their own proprietary cable head and that nowadays universal cables are made by Jagwire and others. On a side note I really need soft jaws either plastic or some sort of wood. Been using some cardboard for now. Thanks again.@@ReferenceBicycle

It definitely happens. Some are easier to fix than others. Thanks for checking it out as always!
