Man. I thought this was lost media. I remember back in the 80s when I lived near the Juban district. There was this mom and pop game store. They had Loretta the video game bundled with a Sega Genesis for a discount my price. I'd been begging my parents for a Nintendo but when they finally broke down, they got me the Genesis instead. Really glad they did though. The gameplay of Loretta was really inventive for its time, there never was a game quite like it, and it was only on Genesis. It's too bad Juban TV's game division shut down after making only one game, but looking back I realize the market was saturated with many concurrently running Loretta projects at the time, almost like they were beating a dead horse on purpose. Loretta 1 was perfect as is. No idea why they had to go and make so many sequels. But the video game was still good.
Yeah, everything went downhill since the second game and the movie came out, but I'm glad the original creator is working on other projects like the overdrive academy series despite all the struggles he had to go through
@@megabaz9 Ohh yeeeah. I've heard of Overdrive academy. I should go check my VHS collection to see if I still have it. I heard the lead role was Kimiko-chan. Her acting skills have really matured since her performance in Meet You in the Galaxy. It's shocking that she could pull off a sukeban role with such seeming ease.
Man, City Pop is such an unique genre, for some reason it can make me both happy and melancholic at the same time. 😅 Great cover, I need to listen to more City Pop artists. ❤

I just went and listened to the original song and now I appreciate this even more. Don't know if its as a result of listening to this first but I prefer your version. The samples used as well as having some of the melodies louder/more towards the front gives it a much more upbeat mood that just makes me want to dance.

@@megabaz9 Hahaha, my friends, flatmate and I sometimes let the algorithm decide what we listen to while we play card games or whatever, but there are a few (like this) that we go back to deliberately. I also ripped an MP3 of it and stuck it on my mp3 player a while back. I wonder if pixel/chiptune people like you and I are drawn to tracks that lend themselves to covers like this- not to discredit your own contribution of course. I have so many tracks I want to animate to if I only had the time. ...Anyway lol. Thanks for doing what you do!
