Nice, they are just awesome quality, running saws! Have you tried a Red Beard Saws Uni foam filter on it yet? It's supposed to fit under the top cover also.
I have a 260 since my climbing days I never used a top handle that was my climbing saw now I only use it for firewood and I wish I could get a 261 ported with a 16” bar but I’m in Alberta too far to drive to you . Great video btw have a great day
had 3 261s, all ported, one screwcarb and two mtronic, all cutting Oz hardwoods, for comparison, cypress here is harder than US white oak the screw carb has worn mostly 18 " .325 .063 since new with me and then a contract climber for 7+ years, cuts like a beast still next was early mk1 mtronic, ported by MMWS, tried 20" 3/8 .063 then stuck with 18" 3/8 .063, it would cut with 20" but wasn't super happy now have mk2 261c, ported by MMWS, wears either 18" picco (special order from Logosol AU) or 16"/18" 3/8 .063. best version yet for my use stock they seem happy with 16" 3/8 but that's here in skippyville
Donnie, great video as usual, can you show us what the muffler looks like? I'm interested to see your only mod on the saw. Your knowledge is awesome. Thanks again . H

This Nebraska old geezer always enjoys your teaching!
I always love how Donny is so matter of fact. He doesnt need to prove anything and doesnt bash anyone else.
Still loving my ms260 and 026. With just the muffler mod they’re great.
8 tooth sprocket makes the 261 pull .325 like a boss! Fun saw to run.
God Bless and protect you and your wonderful family:) Bless you for sharing your wisdom with us:)
HI DONNY all the flowers 💐 are very pretty but they don't cut wood 😊😅OMG 3 1O 2O23
Hey Donny! I would love to hear you discuss the differences between the different versions of the 261s! 👍
got an MMWS 261c with 18" picco bar, brilliant, absolutely brilliant saw
got to sort the filter out yet tho

Thoughts on the STIHL 462 CM with 25" light bar?
Thought this might be the green acres channel for a second there.

Donny, how does the Echo 501p compare to the 261? I'm more than happy with my Echo. Just curious to how it compares to other saws in that class.
Just looking at you,r past video you all was have good info give me Some ideas on how to things thank s Donny 👍👍👍👍👍😎
You mentioned some guys running 3/8 chain. Are those all ported, can the stock saw run 3/8 without noticeable power loss?
Stock can run 3/8 but better with exh mod and porting

Do you think you'll ever go smaller? You're doing great things but a 3' bar is about a foot longer than I'd really ever need
Thinking about smaller and different mount ones for small husqvarna saws
@@donnywalker4691 I don't know why this showed up on this video but, hey, thanks for responding. That'd be perfect. I have a couple of those
