    I share the sentiments of other commentators: another great video Jonny! The combination of photos, highlighted contour maps, and color animation-all thoroughly explained so clearly illustrate these great summer fish holding spots. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with such great detail! Yep, another vid of yours saved to my fishing folder!

    Yes! I need this video. I have never been an offshore guy, but I am going to make a concerted effort this summer to give it a good shot. Looking forward to trying hair jigs, spoons, deep crank, and football jigs!

    Me and my buddies bank fished all our lives. Finally got a boat last year and putting your knowledge for bass, and Tom Boley's walleye concepts to work and man, I'm so thankful for these two channels! I'm starting to get annoyed at my buddies who LOVE junk fishing shorelines all the time, I get it, that's the only way they catch 80-90% of their fish, but there's a time and place for it once a pattern develops. Thanks a bunch Johnny!

    Do you have any videos about how to find bream beds with downscan or sidescan sonar? I scanned (pun intended ;-) through all your sonar videos and didn't see anything obvious. I grew up fishing in small northern lakes where most of the bluegill beds were shallow and easy to find visually. But now fishing in large southern reservoirs it does seem like they're bedding in deeper water -- I never visually see beds in these lakes. Love these videos.

    Very informative. Love these type of videos. Great graphics as always! I have downloaded the free Deep Dive app. Think I am going to pull trigger on paid version. Would love to c upcoming video with an honest opinion about how the app is doing relative to helping inexperienced anglers locate fish. Lastly - any update on if/when u will b adding crappie as a species on app? I know u have previously mentioned. Obviously that just adds more bang for the buck for guys like me. Thanks.

    Based on your graphics it appears you tend to park in deeper water and fish downhill. I tend to park shallow and fish uphill. Do you find fishing downhill more productive? Do you do both, but find there are times you find one to be more productive than the other?

    • @FishtheMoment
      @FishtheMoment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I've found that I get more bites in the summer putting my boat in deeper water and fishing downhill. But I get more bites in the winter putting my boat shallow and fishing uphill. That being said, I do still fish brushpiles and bream beds from multiple angles in the summer because sometimes they want the bait from a specific angle.

    Are your ledge and sharp point tips only for "typical" lakes or reservoirs ? I fish mainly river lakes and seldom mark fish on the sharp points at the mouths of creek arms feeding into the main river (lake) The fish are suspended back in the creek arms or super shallow Could this be due to water temp and or current? As always great video with great graphics to illustrate your point

    Hey Johnny! I'm an angler from Michigan. In my first three tournaments this year, I've been able to get plenty of decent quality bites, but I can't seem to get my kicker. What should I do? They all three have been shallow spring tournaments.

      @@Boombuck then I would start focusing on the secondary points and channel swing banks leading away from the spawning flats to start. They could either be still spawning or working their way back out from it. But if it's goin to be hot and sunny look for rock and brush piles leading out of the spawning pockets back to the main lake and flip close to whatever cover wether a laydown, or rockpile or brush etc.. these would be great places to start if the weather is going to be nice and sunny. If you want hmu on my Instagram and maybe I can help ya out a little my friend. Tight lines 🤙

    Question: does there have to be anything ON these areas to fish (brush piles, shell beds, etc) to fish them, or will bass hold there just because of the feature itself?

    • @gospideygo8781
      @gospideygo8781 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a good question. I have fished humps and ledges without any marked or obvious brush or shell beds, and they produce fish. However, I find that I do the best if there is some rock or rock ledges on the bottom to bounce a jig, shaky head or crank bait off of. The bass seem to need something to hangout and hide by. Ever since Johnny came out with these videos, I’ve started fishing mainly offshore except during spring and fall when the bass are moving in shallow.

      @Fatty Fatty Two by Four what I mean is this. When you compare the documentation for ancient people, none of them have been documented anywhere close to the number of times Jesus was documented. No one doubts the documentation we have found about Caesar, yet Jesus was documented way more than Caesar. There are over 2.6 million pages of manuscripts that archeologists have found for just the New Testament of the Bible. Since the Bible is a story about Jesus, this means there are over 2.6 million pages on Jesus. This number does not include the pages of manuscripts they have found for the Old Testament. I don't know of any other person who has that many pages written about them.
