  • Was unable to find a fix online for this so I tackled it myself and found a solution, this is to help those who have checked their fuses and relays and all are in working order. This was done on a 2006 Ford F350 with a 6.0 Powerstroke Diesel. Also, the barcode mentioned in the video contains the code for your vehicle to open the doors via the number pad on the exterior of your vehicle.
P.S. the wire was left connected to the power outlet as shown in the video and have not experienced any issues with the locks being connected this way.

Hey! quite informative. Thank you. I have a customer with an 06 navigator..everytime you press unlock or lock on either the key fob or the door switches nothing happened beside a relay click from the vsm..im at a complete loss at this point. I cannot figure it out.. the odd thing is I have 2 grounds (both wires) at the driver side door lock actuator. Have any idea what would cause such a thing? thank you sir!

is this fix still working today with no issues? i have lock working ...no unlock, key fob works both to lock and unlock... so a relay has to be bad inside vsm..

Yes, this is still working, my friend has had one issue and that was that the fuse for the power supply blew after a couple of months, after that it hasn't happened since. And I cannot verify your issue as my friend did not have the key fob for his truck to see if that made it unlock or lock.

Alex's Garage the problem is under the seats if you look up a wiring diagram there’s a junction where the wire splits under the seats and you get a short the keeps blowing the fuse I had to fix one just like this in my shop it’s splits and powers the rear door locks
