We have a pretty clear divide now between artist CL and idol CL. 2ne1 songs that show her flavor the best imho are Come Back Home and Goodbye, although 2ne1 was like cultural reset after cultural reset. She wrote their disbandment song, and even tho it’s devastating the m/v is so good at capturing the how it felt when they were at the top. She actually did release an EP pretty quickly after she was released from YG management. It was a lot of songs she had written and never given to YG. Earlier this year she released a tribute track for her mom who passed away from cancer. So she’s been out here, but Hwa and 5-star got a lot more traction than anything else she’s released in years. Even Lifted didn’t do that well, YGE released it three days after BLACKPINK’s debut
