This is why we love Vito. He is all about dignity and honor. Even when fired unreasonably he does not take charity. That is a real Man

This is masculinity right here, not that Andrew Tate bullshit. Its not about having fast cars and bling. Its about having principles and the willingness to die for them. Here, Vito will never give up his dignity and pride as a man for a couple of groceries which his family could use. That is what a real man is all about. That is strength. All of these qualities is what would make him a very good leader

That look in his eyes, and the knife 🔪 in his hand .Fanucci is the same type of guy like the one who killed his father and brother

This is why I dont fault Vito for becoming a mob boss. Life dealt him a bad hand and he had to do what needed to be done to provide for his family. He had no money, resources, connections or opportunities. It was a life of crime or a life of poverty.

I don't get why The Black Hand picks on this poor grocer and forces him to give his nephew a job. Why doesn't he just give his nephew a job in his own organization?

It would have been nice to have a scene where Vito made the father of that store a partner in his business once he was successful as the Don cos that guy was good to him & Vito even says he was like a father to him & only sacked him cos he was scared for his life if he said no to Fanucci
