Sweet hunt Ben! Can't wait till you can get out there again, maybe even if they till it or after the stubs get a little lower so you can get some deeper items. That reed is probably an accordion part...which we find way too often (guess there must have been a lot of accordion crushers back in the day). I'm gonna call the gear a clock part, and you are always finding great buttons. Hope you can get some writing off that one. Keep up the good work and the let down disc of dirt was funny.
@OffTrailTreasures you're welcome. I've been contemplating trying a few different angles kinda like you do, but with all the time I spend in the woods I try to keep it as light as possible with what I bring in with me. And thanks for the long time support on my channel!
@Dirty-digs oh I'm always reevaluating what I take. It's more for the dig : film ratio, ya know? I'm always wanting to dig more so I have trouble taking time with the filming!
Boom let's go let's go treasure and adventure ✌👵

Getting back out there after a till would be great! Headed back that direction in a couple of weeks, not sure where to go yet...
Good hunt. Enjoyed seeing your finds. I'm still leaning towards leather crimping wheel or a gear for something.
New sub here..Great video! Very informative too!I love how you did some different angles while digging and showing the finds.
@@Dirty-digs thank you! I've been subbed to yours for a while!

@OffTrailTreasures that's my problem too..I don't even like taking the time for multiple takes lol.
I know!! The struggle is real. I genuinely enjoy making videos but not as much as a good find! 😂
Spur rowells, pronounced rail. Thanks for posting. I got about a foot of snow here in Colorado Springs, so I can't dig.
@@Earth-Chiming thanks for that! Is that the same kind of spur as worn on a boot?
@OffTrailTreasures yes
Hints of brick can be a good clue
Gear ( clockworks) and Reed piece could have been a music box if they were fairly close. Farming tends to spred things around.
I think your London button is 1700’s. I have one dated back to that time … looks very similar.
@@JanG-0430 ya, the time right after the Rev war was when the imports of these basically stopped. Not sure if they eventually resumed or not...
