If you're not wearing gloves your body temp will keep the liquid nitrogen from contacting your skin. It's kind of like when you put a drop of water on a REALLY hot pan, it beads up and rolls away. The regular air around you is about 78% nitrogen already, so it's not going to hurt you once it's evaporated. It's just really really cold when it's a liquid.

Those droplets riding a cushion of nitrogen gas was sick. The nitrogen is going to the gas phase so quickly it creates a boundary layer of gas and the less thermally conductive air allows the droplet to exist longer and skate around.
FYI guys, you saw how globs of ln were skittering on the floor, that’s a great way to clean the Braille house. Just pour the ln on the floor and it will roll around picking up all the dirt into it and collect in a low point. Then just sweep a pile up.

The water made it so there was too much tension holding the plastic together, the rapid expansion of the liquid gas into gas forces it to take the path of least resistance. Try warm water next time for even faster reaction. Stronger top. Bigger boom

At certain temperatures it’s liquid, while at other temps it’s solid (ice) or a gas (steam). This makes sense to us because we experience this throughout our lives. Nitrogen is very similar. Its molecule as well that has 3 different states, just at different temperatures (google can tell you the exact numbers). Another way to think of it is like such - take a Walmart skateboard and a Revive skateboard. Both are skateboards no matter how you look at them. Just like water and nitrogen, a Walmart board and revive skate board are made of slight different materials. Just like water and nitrogen a Walmart board snaps after, I donno, 1 staircase while a revive board will last much long. Essentially the same things, different numbers. Unlike liquid water though, liquid nitrogen has the added property of freezing things. skateboarding is a fun and awesome and so is science :)
