- Can I fool you with my homemade fake ice cream?
Well you are fooled every day by food commercials in very devious ways. In this video I will cover 3 food commercial hacks and rate them based on how effective they are.
Food Commercial Hack #1:
- Mashed Potatoes Ice Cream
Some mashed potatoes with food coloring makes for un-meltable ice cream. Will you be fooled?
Food Commercial Hack #2:
- Hairspray on fruit.
Yes you heard that correctly, it doesn't taste good, but it makes the fruit shine brighter. But it does something weird to the grape.
Food Commercial Hack #3:
- Glycerin in Water
Thanks to jhonnylittleshoes @reddit I found out that you can mix glycerin with water to make a viscous and sticky water mix that will clump together better then regular water.

Hi Frank! With the ice cream, you're supposed to brush on a mixture of glue, food dye, and water to fake that slightly "melted" look. With the other two, you might be spraying a little to close. Idk if the nozzle on your spray bottle is adjustable, but it may have something to do with the size of your droplets. Anyways, great job and thanks for sharing!
Yeah I read something about that, might counteract the dry look I got this time! I never thought about the nozzle but they were different bottles so maybe that's why.. Thanks for the tips 😊
