Ethane is C2H6, to produce Polyethene from Ethane, at first de-hydrogenate C2H6 to remove 2 nuclears of hydrogen to become C2H4 by pyrolysis reaction in furnace. After reaction the mixed C2H4 C2H6 will be seperated in C2 splitter tower. C2H4 will be collected at the top of tower then transfer to polymerization reactor to produce polyethene.
Hi Josiah, polythene, polyethylene and polyethene are used, however the official IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) nomenclature is polyethene.
Useful information
Awesome and wise.
THANK YOU FOR THIS! :)

Is ethane the same as ethylene???
Ethylene is ethene. A two carbon hydrocarbon with a double bond.
Hi, does anyone knows what solvent is that
It depends on the process www.essentialchemicalindustry.org/polymers/polyethene.html
Its polyethylene not polyethene
Hi Josiah, polythene, polyethylene and polyethene are used, however the official IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) nomenclature is polyethene.
In merica its call polyethylene
At what pressure is the ethylene gas pumped in to react with the catalyst?
