@Samuel Nowe That is the question of the movie. How many wrongs make something right, wrong. And, when you start pondering that even for a moment; are ye now on the side of the wrong? Go see it.
I would not bother watching this, it makes John Brown out to be a loud-mouth . . . . I am a descendant of John Brown . . . . . men of action like John Brown are rarely the ones who make a lot of noise. The loud ones are usually the biggest cowards. This Hollywood portrayal is a crock of shit if you ask me, and I like Ethan Hawke, but this sucks and really goes off the rails due to the stupid acting.
We're all descendants of the mighty John Brown. There's neither one opinion nor prayer that stands over one another. Just the right one for the right time. I wish you well!
Indeed, a first hand account of Brown by his friend Alex Hawes has this to say: John was brusque with a sarcastic sense humor. While remaining astonishingly cool under pressure. I think the show/book is depicting the myth of John Brown as a ideological zealot with a burning passion. For the sake of narrative the character expresses this outwardly with his wild demeanor. More to entertain the audience than to be accurate. The real life Brown was just as passionate but he wasn't playing to an audience. I think we can appreciate both the man and myth. :)
Remember this my historically literate friend, most people don’t give a fuck, nor could give a fuck if they wanted, it’s the way it is This way, people atleast learn a basic version of it, and those who have the yearn to learn more of it, do so
John Brown only committed one sin: he died too early to continue his fight against total injustice.
AMEN!
Amen!!!
"CHARGE IT TO THE LORD, HEATHEN!"
Love that quote LMAO
love that line alone but the immediate gunshot afterwards makes it a gem
This show needs more clout it was amazing
John Brown was unfathomably based
John Brown did nothing wrong
I'd reckon his strategics was off but he had the right idea.

I’m inclined to agree even if I’m a fan of the show
I feel like movie portrayals are supposed to be a bit over the top and theatrical. That's why they're called dramas.
@@IvanMrsicStudio "Over the top" can be anything. Some Clint Eastwood movies have hardly any dialogue.

This show is highly inaccurate
It is based on a book that was never intended to be historically accurate. Take it for what it is... an entertaining, well- made series.
