The guy that played Mugen was insane. That's the absolute perfect live adaptation of his fighting style. Fluid and jumpy.
Yeah I just watched a Jin live action fight and I was like I guess they didn't include Mugen because he'd be impossible to adapt live but this just proved me wrong haha. It also shows how scary it would be to fight someone with that kind of unorthodox style
The only thing this is missing is a ninja Samuel L Jackson giving constant commentary to distract Afro.
He did give a little bit of commentary when Afro got slashed in the back..

Anything just to get rich. They don't bother to look at the material and learn it in order to create a good quality production. That's what happened with the Dragonball Evolution movie. The director didn't care about the universe of Dragonball. All he was after was a big payday. He even admits this some time after the movie was made and he regretted it.
Because Hollywood thinks they can tell these stories "BETTER" Its all about getting people who actually respect the source material and want to make a great movie instead of getting D rank writers and directors

The ending scene is kind of ridiculously accurate. "You ain't nothing without Momo!" "You ain't nothing without me!". Fuu is what made Mugen become a man in Samurai Champloo. Gave him purpose and a reason to come back to life. Twice.

Dude the stunt guy/ actor they got for Afro was so good, that god dam stare was intense
the acting could improve, but the fights are really badass.
And it's surprising, for it usually is the contrary

Mugen and Afro actors were amazing, but honestly, character wise, Fuu's actress was the most on-point. Props to them all and thank you for this piece. It was FANTASTIC!!!!!
Nothing beats this Asian scene set in old days than getting kicked in the face with a converse all star sneaker after waking up.
The guy playing Mugen was so good at the break dance sword style, I was amazed.
In all honesty the production value of this is off the wall.

Wow, both actors were awesome and the choreography was perfect; completely aced both Mugen and Afro's styles - felt like I was watching the animes.

When I seen this in my recommended list I will be honest, I was hesitant to click it but I thought ahh what the hell. To my surprise this was the best live action adaptation of anything ever. Where hollywood would have failed, you guys nailed it. You have more then earned my like and I subscribed and I hope to see more. 11/10. Arigato!

Anyone who dislikes this can try and make one better.
Animation gives you limitless creativity, you can have camera angles at any position at any given time, as many objects in frame as you want, characters with detailed expressions, can perform any action, clear notable voices and personalities, as many colors you can see, ANYTHING.
Adapting that to real life looks very timestaking, requires Editing with great software and equipment, dedication from actors and so on.
I think these guys did an amazing job with what they had and who they were working with.
I hope to see more of this

Literally everything is perfect and Magen, Fuu, and Afro’s actors all embody their characters. The choreography was superb. Camera work, pacing, storytelling and by God THE SOUNDTRACK!!!!!
