I'm a drummer that likes to make beats whilst doing every day activities. I drum on random objects and things I found around the house. I love to see what sounds and beats I can get out of everyday household items.

Great work: 'Drum & bass' along with 'Jazz' are my personal favourites here 👍
Thanks man. Those are 2 of my favourites too.. also love the reggae one
So cool! B-) I have a whole vibe going on here in my room!!
Thanks! Loads more cajon videos up on my channel too!
30 years ago Djembes were all the rage. Same ideas, different animal.
I do enjoy a djembe!
Just listened to the whole thing that was awesome. How would you do: Swing, Bachata, Bossanova, Merengue, and Zouk?
I will definitely do a part 2 at some point and will add these genres to the list. Keep an eye out
@@RhythmMeThis Yep I subscribed! Maybe add some African beats to the list! Can’t wait!
Thanks for the sub!
Nice! ❤
Thanks
Latian & Hip-Hop is my style. It's just a good beat that's all!😄
Yeah that’s totally my style too! Will be doing another one of these soon with 10 different genres
Never heard this on a metal track. Would be good for a sort of fusion/tribal breakdown part though.
This would be cool. Kind of like Sepultura or early Incubus!
@@RhythmMeThis Exactly. Big Roots fan here.

@@RhythmMeThis thanks You very mutch 👍🏻
very much
Thanks
Very cool. What model Cajon is that? I like the bass. Did you amp it?
Thanks! I’m not sure the exact model as I’ve had it for years. I believe it’s similar to a Meinl woodcraft series, string cajon mahogany. No, it’s not amped up. Just a microphone on the back and some EQ added in post production!
@@RhythmMeThis I’ve decided to learn it and order the Jam. It’s only 15” tall and not fully stringed. Hopefully it’ll still be able to produce a good kick sound. Yours sounds great.
I do put a small towel in the back which helps dampen the bass sound to give more of a thud. It’s such a fun instrument to play! I may do some tutorials at some point
@@RhythmMeThis Oh interesting! You mean like a towel covering the hole?
Actually pop the towel inside the cajon. Similar to what you would do with a bass drum to dampen it.
🎉
🤜🤛
Are you a leftie or just and open-handed player? You play hats with the left hand and keep time with the right foot?
I'm probably reading into it too much. Cajon is cool
I’m a right handed drummer. With the cajon I tend to play 16th notes consistently and then hit the accents on either the snare or the bass. I can see why this would make it look like I’m a lefty. Hope that makes sense!
@@RhythmMeThis oh cool thank you
