This is a great video of Patty cutting it up on stage. Her music is always full of feeling and never disappointing. I recommend catching one of shows in another town which will make your trip even more memorable. Cheers to you Patty!!!
I accidentally won tickets to see her live it concert. After two songs I was up front dancing and she became one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE SINGERS EVER!!!! She rocks and this song rocks....
Saw her in Holland 2 years ago. She's so kind, warm...just wonderfull!Spoke to eachother for like 15 min. That made my day!!!:D Beatifull performance to.
I'm so happy that people are discovering her. For us long time fans, it's like, FINALLY! She's getting attention! I've been fortunate enough to see her play live and I have to tell you, she is magical. And, as a songwriter myself, I really appreciate her beautifully written compositions. I'm glad ya like her too! :o)
I'm so jealous that you know her. I've seen her in concert at the Pageant in St. Louis, have her cd's, and am a devoted fan for sure. Sure she dances like Elaine from Seinfeld, with legs akimbo, but who cares with a voice like that, and the skills she has on the guitar, not to mention her writing skills. One of my favorite performers ever!
i love patty griffin. not many people know who she is. still, she is a very talented singer, one of the best. she does what she loves and that is awesome.
"You're a sad little boy, anyone can see you're just a sad little boy That's why you're carrying on that way....And leave the rest of us, there's a lot of us, leave the rest of us Who wanna live in peace to live in peace" It's about Dubya!
I'm glad that she's slightly under the radar. Anyone who knows Patty Griffin respects her so much. if she was pushed under the nose of everyone else she wouldnt have that kind of respect, she would just be another woman singer. Her amount of success is perfect in my eyes!
like way too many extremely strong and beautiful female souls who are musicians giving their hearts to everyone, i see her now getting older never having had her chance for a lifelong love and children of her own,...this is just a bit of the unfairness that life dishes out to the best among us,...it hurts to think about
I found out that Patty and I are cousins. her grandmother and my grandmother were cousins in Old Town Maine. She looks like my grandmother a little! ( :
I totally agree!! I'm glad she's not "Hollywood famous", cause we see how mean and disrespctful people are to the ones who are in that intense limelight... they can't catch a break! they get shit no matter what they do... SAD and PATHETIC! that is what the world has come to... Patty is SO great!! =)
All of the lyrics make sense for that interpretation, except for this part, IMO-- "I'm gonna find me a man Love him so well Love him so strong Love him so slow We're gonna go way beyond The walls of this fortress" The "fortress" part kind of fits, but then the rest just sounds like sex to me.
she puts rock n´roll in some lame song writers, like a little spice in your potato soup. keep on rock n´ patty. maybe invite to play with desire basset, i would love to see that.

Patti - I am picking up what you're putting down
In this video it's a Taylor - just like mine!
does anybody have the one from conan's old show?
All of the lyrics make sense for that interpretation, except for this part, IMO--

Love him so well
Love him so strong
