COD has already showed about diversity before it was cool. And i heard about 761st Tank Battalion, so it was based on accurate history. 100 point for COD
@@jeezed2950 Back then they remained grounded on actual history. Now they throw any type of historical accuracy straight out the window and you end up with shit like vanguard lol To me it feels like disrespect to the real struggles colored folk had to go through back in the day and we can no longer hear their actual stories of valor. When I saw bf5 and and cod vanguard there’s a feeling of wokeness and fast and the furious super hero vibe I get. In old cods like cod 1 and 2 I felt that I was experiencing the war in how it was. You were a ordinary soldier. Not a special forces guy who saves the world from nukes. You also in cod 1 2 you fought for the most part along side your army. Rather then just having 2 people against the whole army with you in a modern cod game. In this mission. Playing as part of the black panthers I did not feel any wokeness expressing politcal messages. I felt you were just a African American in ww2 which I liked.
This mission as a kid always had a special place in my memory not only was it another Tank mission but it was the first time I saw African Americans in a video game lol so that made it feel extra special at least for me
It takes a few sherman rounds to take out a tank.. but 1 Panzerschreck is an insta kill? Love the gameplay Tho..God bless these old scool ww2 shooters.. it needs a remaster.. for the Nextgen consoles and pc.
Actually the Panzerschreck pretty much was a guaranteed kill on almost any tank it hit. Could punch through up to 230mm of armor. Shaped charge weapons like the Panzerschreck and Panzerfaust were so feared by tankers that it became common practice to stack planks, sandbags, chicken wire, anything that could be scrounged up, around likely impact zones on american tanks.
rodrigo lucas I did and it was easy people only regard it hard because they were too young to realise how easy it is lol. Nobody is brave to admit how hard the newer cods are lolololl
+Bowens92 That's true tbh, I was 7 when I played that one I gave up on it if I were to play it today, it would be pretty easy I'm sure. I mean you pick health up, sure but that's not really hard.
Bowens92 the newer cods aren't even harder then the old.ones, if you were to talk about multiplayer them yeah newer cods are harder because there's more competition than back then
This by far has got to be one of the longest levels in the game. There are no loading sequences here. While all other missions are broken up into pairs of levels, this one alone probably takes the same amount of time to complete compared to those pairs, save for the last 3, as those depict the same mission altogether. This mission was a big favorite of mine growing up, and it still is. And it was a big selling point for me, playing it from my brother's GameCube, to my own PS2. I feel like if there were more missions like this, then this game would've been perfect.
When I was a kid I thought they weren’t welcome because they were like disobedient or something. But this was definitely one of my favorite missions to play over and over again.
Have you seen the shit COD Vanguard is doing, i wanted to watch this to actually see something good in a historical game. Not the shit they are making now a days
One thing I don’t like about this mission is the fact that there is no health packs in the first house where you have to take out the machine guns, to replenish your’re health, until the next house where you have to take out the panzerschrecks, there is health packs, but at least I managed to get past this level.

The all black 761st Tank Battalion is also known as "The Black Panthers" and their motto is "Come Out Fighting."
That's a fact.
Now this is something Call of Duty should push instead of making forcing shit lol
I always liked Sam River's backstory, it comes off as a biography that could be made into an actual movie
I could see Anthony Mackie playing as Sam Rivers tbh

There was a real man named Sgt. Reuben Rivers in the 761st. He was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously in 1997.

Jackie Robinson Brooklyn Dodgers was in the 761st.
When diversity is done well in a Call of Duty.
You had more believable back stories for the characters compared to vanguard.

@kyleabrezzi And for some reason they added Snoop Dog in a time before he existed all because of money.

I loved this tank mission
Same here, the part where the Germans are retreating at the end of this mission makes me think about Patton’s reinforcements arriving at Bastogne.
This is diversity done right, not shoehorned in to please the woke crowd.
Is this first ww2 game that you play as Black soldier?
probably
The Cutie Reaper yes, well at least in a cod game
however this is based on a real division that was really at Bastonge.
Yep,but it's way more historically accurate than COD WW2.
