I just wanna take a moment to appreciate real hair stylists who give you a whole hair experience and not make you wash, dye, trim and braid your own hair before you come. Lbvs Comfortable atmosphere, great conversation, knowledgeable about hair health, scalp massage etc. She did an amazing job.
For your fine hair, you may want to try incorporating more protein rich/strengthening ingredients and products . As a fine haired natural, I try to use a light protein treatment every other week and my hair is THRIVING because of it

I need to know why it’s so easy for really good stylists to comb and brush through natural hair after they’ve washed it? She made natural hair look sooo easy! And wasn’t losing any hair or catching any snags!! I’m blown away!
Brush SLOWLY! Really really start from THE BOTTOM MILLIMETER of your air and go up a teensie tiny bit only after at least 5 slow strokes. If you are going to add product or an oil or leave in do it before you brush to add slip. Section off in smaller pieces and possibly put into twist or Bantu to keep from getting it retangled. The stylist also pre detangled before the treatment and worked it through smoothing the hair down so it wouldn't get retangled. She also didn't use her fingers to rub the hair up against the scalp she made sure all her movements were going the direction the hair was falling so once it was detangled it never retangled. Not sure what brush she had but the denmans (when you remove every other line of the brushes spoke thingys so it has half the amount of teeth) go through curly hair really well. Something made to go through tangled curls then modify it to be even wider. Best wishes to you girl

Every product does not work on everyone hair. Keya is soo right about that!! Oh and scalp massages are the best!! That's the best part of getting my hair done when I visit the salon.
Stylists like her aren't cheap. Many clients don't want to pay for quality and sound scientific advice. There is also a lack of respect for stylists. When you find a great stylist, stick with them. Work out a schedule that you can afford and a hair regimen that you can follow. You will see results so be patient and optimistic.
Couldn't agree more. I've been going to the same stylist for over 10yrs. She's not cheap but worth every penny. I would rather save up and have an excellent hair experience with her than to go cheap and have rubbish done to my hair.

Ur doing an excellent job with ur hair and with ur protective hair styles too. When u get a lil bean 🤭 ur hair will sprout so fast. I stopped doing the bi-weekly hair cleanings and I noticed a difference in my hair texture and density also. Once a month and sometimes I will go six weeks girl in the winter and fall months.

I have heard a few things about henna and decided against using it. It bolds to your cuticles and if you have coarse hair, over time it makes the hair more coarse, if you have low porosity hair it can prevent water from entering into your cuticles. In the end dehydrating the hair.

Mary, imho your hair is growing nicely and is in great condition. So, next time ask your hairstylist for a little “trim” of your hair ends and not a big “cut” of your hair ends. By doing this, you won’t lose so much of your hairs length gains. Always remember Mary, that your hair will get longer, if you don’t keep unnecessarily cutting it off. 💇♂️
This is exactly how i trim my hair myself, I just use a 2 mirrors. No offense, but I think she might have cut 2 much off in the back, then she came back thru and cut a little more length off. I straightened bone straight, then cut. Sometimes a blow dry will not have all your hair at it's full length. Nevertheless, it looks super healthy & longer than the last video.
I thought she cut a little 2 much off of the back as well I didn’t see a need 2 cut the back except maybe a pinch and still needed to cut the middle section separately (the crown) which always need more attention.
I pleased that you got a good stylist, they are invaluable. I just found one in London UK, expensive for my budget, but completely worth the investment. So tired of the trail and error with my hair, am going to the experts.
I have those sore spots too, and my hair breaks in those spots, and I read it’s from poor blood flow to those areas of the scalp. A massage always helps.

I typically twist my hair up with the products from the salon’s line. I use the hydra cream and curling cream from the line. I have also be using their oils called the drip. But, I think I may be allergic to one of the ingredients because it cause my scalp to itch. One of the stylist told me that I may need to dilute it. I’m going to try that. 🥰
@@JiGGWineFine you don’t have to cut everything at once. Those bits that need to be off can be snipped off over time following a trim schedule. For many growing and retaining length takes work... you have to respect how the client wants to go about their hair health.

I have those sore spots too, and my hair breaks in those spots, and I read it’s from poor blood flow to those areas of the scalp. A massage always helps.

Use purple shampoos with henna. Sometimes regular dye can turn gray hair green. Ms Mary your hair looks like 4a or b. Lol.. My sister's hair was like yours. Soft... My hair took my mom 2 days to do. 😭😓 Very painful. Very long and thick😣 I'm 4ç or d Lol .. I used to be teased and shamed. I didn't like my hair. When I relaxed back in the day we had to leave relaxed on for awhile. Lol... But I been natural natural for over 20 years. I love my texture now. I love the info you give in your videos. Especially with Keya. I don't wash my hair alot. I'm glad she said 4 to 6 weeks. That's what I've been doing. I want to look into the products you use. The Juice. My hair is so dry. I sucks up moisture. I'm 57 n my hair is not growing in the top. BALD spot. I'm heart broken. Maybe I need someone to look into this. It itches so much. I don't comb my hair alot. Any suggestions,? How can I take care of my hair if I lie down most of the day? I have dry, thin, soft hair and I am seeing a lot. I know I neglect my hair, skin and nails but, I’m a mess. I am disabled and take care of my son with autism. I saw your other videos, aloe really helped a lot. I got a faulty Nutrabullet blade that kIlled my machine and stopped using the aloe. What exactly do you use everyday on your hair ? It’s growing healthy & beautifully. I love it!♥️🥰
I typically twist my hair up with the products from the salon’s line. I use the hydra cream and curling cream from the line. I have also be using their oils called the drip. But, I think I may be allergic to one of the ingredients because it cause my scalp to itch. One of the stylist told me that I may need to dilute it. I’m going to try that. 🥰

@@JiGGWineFine you don’t have to cut everything at once. Those bits that need to be off can be snipped off over time following a trim schedule. For many growing and retaining length takes work... you have to respect how the client wants to go about their hair health.
I think they are working towards a goal of Mary having all her hair in one length .....
