What a really great musician and artist you are.I am totally in awe of how well you play and how articulate you are. You've definitely put your time in. Your make the amp sound good! Best wishes for the holidays and more! Rod
That was a great demo and thanks for concentrating on clean sounds. It sounds great to my ears. one advantage is the variable power output. Looking forward to running my Helix through he amp too.
Awesome demo. Question; If your running a multi effects unit thru the power amp switch at the back, can you still use the pre amp section using the different amp models of the Catalyst at the same time? Thanks in advance.
I doubt it. I saw something about the Katana using the power amp input disables all controls but the master volume. Probably the same on this one. You might be able to get what you want using the 4 cable method. You would still be using the amp models in this case, but you would have your modeler in the effects loop and could add preamp models that way. Not the same as what you are asking, but might get you close to what you want.
It is strange how the cleans are nice but as soon as boost, crunch or more gain are added, it sounds boxy and mushy. It is bearable on the high gain settings, but not really when switching from clean. Good review.
I hear the mushyness. It is like they have added filters to stop the harshness/fuzzy sound that these type of amps produce. The cleans are sweet so for that it is a decent value amp.
Nice review and playthrough! Great job on the tones dialed in. What is this mic'ed with? ANd which Catalyst is this? (would be helpful if that is mentioned in the video / description please!)
@@adrenalincoverband no need for an apology as the title says "no talking" which I'm sure attracts people who don't want any talking. Great playing and I could tell you were reacting to the sounds as they came up rather than playing stock licks.
@@peterkelly8357 Thank you! We literally took it out of the box and filmed as we played and changed channels! Some of the effects were not really useable BUT we didn't hook up the app at all.
Hi, thank you for this great demo. Your playing is excellent and you really give a good picture of what this amp can do. I already ordered mine and I'm looking for evidence that I made a good choice. It seems like the vintage and dynamic channels are really solid. Would you agree?
I have not heard a decent metal tone out of this amp in any any video. This is a Katana copy anp that does not have the tone of the Katana. Garbage....

Great demo! That Schecter looks absolutely fantastic as well
Wow, it sounds beautiful.
Great playing as well.
I’m buying it ! Awesome job Bro using it !
I'm genuinely impressed
Actually it’s that Nick Johnston Traditional I’m into. That pink with the roasted maple looks amazing and it sounds just as sweet.
thanx circo ¡¡¡¡¡. ERES EL MEJOR FRANCIS
Who half inched the trem arm?
Like your style!
It does sound pretty good, but I think I'll wait for v2 with (hopefully) more expansive footswitching options (using MIDI...?) and a speaker out.
Very good demo, thx.
Awesome demo.

Excellent demo.
How would you rate this amp vs:
Katana?
Fender mustang GTX?
VOX Cambridge?

Hi bud, sorry I always say it in the intro and then they cut me talking! ;) It was an SM57 and this was the 100 we had from Line 6 for the demo. Adam

Can't find a thing wrong with this amp

Humbucker should have been used for high gain stuff.
