LMFAO I thought Rick would sh!t on it and I definitely felt Korbin when he said "I'm so glad cause I was gonna have to punch you in the face, I came here ready to fight" clearly he had the same suspicion as me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 This movie was actually my fav of 2022, as much as I love RRR, I have a slight preference for this one. The edit is so creative, the score is incredible as well as the songs, and the non linear script is actually smartly done despite the plot being very simple. Also, Shine Tom Chacko was an absolute revelation for me in the movie!! I love him. He reminds me of Fafa too 😄

Dear Rick, Korbin, I have been watching your reviews for a long time now, and always wait for one. I am super appreciative of you both, that despite being alien to the language, culture, nuances and references of Indian movies, you appreciate the art and craft. Believe me, it would have been very difficult for me to watch a film in a foreign language, where I do not know anyone and what they speak. But you both are very different. You have really mastered the art of appreciating and showering accolades on what feels good to you. I come from the southern state of Kerala, India, and I am so overwhelmed by the reviews you have for Malayalam movies. From not being able to pronounce the language initially, to being a fan of Malayalam movie making. You were right, in the end of the review of 'Thallumala', that Malayalam movies often are overshadowed by large production movies from other industries and often sidelined. In fact in case of Thallumala, I was very confused when I watched it the first time (didn't dislike it for sure), however, I decided to watch it again, after I heard you both, and the angle in which it has to be viewed. It really turned out to be a masterpiece. I am great fan of Malayalam movies, but believe me, there was a time, between 2000 and 2010, that 60% of the movies were utter rubbish with no artistry, acting, technicality, story or music. The industry was just churning out one bad movie after another, with largely C grade directors or first time producers trying their luck with whatever non-sense they had. There was a renaissance of sorts post that, with new actors, talented story tellers, technicians and music directors came along, which started the glorious period of Malayalam cinema (which was earlier attributed to 70s and 80s). Then came along my favorite too (which till that time, was the one and only Mohanlal), Fahadh Fazil (FaFa).There are very few actors who can modulate with their eyes and expressions, the subtle nuances of an emotion, he could handle it. I am at loss of words to explain his caliber, but to put it simply, he doesn't have sharp edges. Its all adequate, organic, rooted and subtle. I wish he goes International some day. I thank you for watching all the Malayalam movies that you have watched thus far, and I am so happy that I find unlikeliest of fans from another country. Of course, you are not all guns-blazing for all the movies you watched, some you didn't like, some you found bad. I am a big fan of your channel, and have always rooted for the honest reviews you provide. In fact, I wished you could watch more Malayalam movies, and provide your reviews (which I am sure is not possible practically). I understand the process that you go through, watching the movie start to end, taking notes, assessing the technical, story-telling, acting and screenplay aspects, continuity issues, and then providing a synopsis. Its a tough job, especially if its in a language you don't know. Atleast you are doing what others have not done thus far, taking Malayalam cinema to International audience through your review channel. Watching the movie in theatres was exhilarating. The emotion really fills up that everyone feels like itching for a fight. If a single person had spoke in a wrong way to someone, a fight would have broken out easily.

@@mello8942 it seems you cannot tell the difference between something not for you and something bad. Because you didn't like it or found it boring doesn't make it bad. The script is actually different from a traditional family dramedy. It's a collection of moments, which is something not seen much. The filmmakers mastered the hang out aspect but also managed to keep a light suspense all throughout. If you don't like hang out movies you won't like this, this is not a flaw on the movie's part.

I have one regret with most malayalam films and, that is why did I not catch it in the theatre....
This was a fantastic watch and had such great fun.
