I am 60 and have been sewing since I was 12 years old and am self taught , I watch , read and research all sorts of sewing related stuff and the sew a longs that you do are amongst the very best ......KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
I would like to know the name of your fabric store and if I could purchase that T shirt pattern from you on line or over the phone? I do not know the name of your store and the web for your sewing classes. Can you or will you put it in the description box in your next sew along ? Thank you . Keep doing what you are doing its all good.
Hello Mimi the pleasure is all mine ❤️ I am also a student @sewitAcademy love it. I am a little confused you stated somewhere 😕 either class or TH-cam you stated that you “use your serger on must of sewing projects” but not in this video.
Excellent Tutorial! I would have liked to have seen the sleeves done though. Since its such a small hole and the fabric so stretchy, how careful must you be to avoid just stretching the fabric out of shape?
I am struggling so hard with v-necks! I don't understand how to attach the neckband at the V. I am doing exactly this but when I turn it around I see all the stitches from sewing the neckband together and there is a HOLE where the v is because it doesn't come together.
What was the Stitch length what was the needle size, why did you use a straight Stitch and not a slight zig-zag stitch, many questions left unanswered, you need to update this video and answers these questions.....what! Raw edges?
Mimi does sometimes use a stretch stitch, and Peggy Sagers recommends a tad longer straight stitch, and I have tried those along with the zigzag stitch, and all seem to work well.
I wondered if she was using a longer stitch together with stretchy thread. That might be why it appears as just a straight stitch. Go get yourself some stretchy thread at Wawak.com they have great prices!
serge! (overlock), stretch stitch, or zigzag. You are absolutely right, Sewing for almost 50 years. Stretchy thread sounds interesting, but I don't know if I would trust it.
Very easy to make, just that when it came to the v part of neckline wasn't very clear on where to position the neckband, I had a perfect shirt until this part, oh well I will continue to practice the v neck t shirt..... Mimi is still great !!!
You are showing a knit fabric sewn with a regular straight stitch. So, since the fabric stretches and the stitching will not, all these seams will pop the first time the garment is tried on. It’s frustrating for new sewers to put all that effort into something, only to have it not survive the first wearing. Please teach people the correct way to put together knits.....either with a stretch stitch, a very narrow zig zag or with a serger

Absolutely Refreshing CREATION
I haven't bought this pattern yet but I'm still enjoying the tutorial, Mimi is the best! ☺
Your tutorials and patterns are fantastic; they make the patterns come to life! This one was basic but Sew Much Needed! :)

Why won't they show the finished product.. would be nice to see it.
I agree,.. a final recap with this the finish project would be great. The endings feel rushed but overall I love the videos .
What stitch are you using on your machine?
I agree as well. It just ends abruptly, with no view of the finished garment.
I always asked the question. And it's so irritating.. put the garment on and show us what it looks like

Hi. Beautiful T-shirt. Can you tell me what kind of sewing machine you use???
If you sew a knit then surely u need to use a zigzag or stretch stitch or the stitches will break

What did the finished product look like??
I believe she is wearing one in a different color
Hello! Thank you for the video. For the neckline, the edges inside are raw, no?

"Now go slow" ☺

it´s probable rubbish!!!!
