Disappointing that all what I heard about Gambhirs honesty didnt seem true in the press. If he was really forthright in the past maybe he is not anymore - today, he has bitten the "Choreograph"bullet. Reasons given for Suryas captaincy, Gill being all format player, dropping Gaikwad, Sanju left with more questions than answers. Both Agarkar and Gambhir have spoken what is 'pleasent" to communicate as a reason than the real truth. Why Rian was picked and Abhishek was dropped - another bunch of blunders. What else to expect of a system that runs under non transparent BCCI umbrella !

In the press conference, he said when you have axar and jadeja then there is no point selecting both so we went with axar, so that means that jadeja is dropped, conflicting the statement that jadeja is not dropped

Yes, it does seem like he has been dropped, but they have not said it that way. Hence we cannot state that he has been.

It's how you interpret it... Both would not have made the 11 ... There is a season of 10 test matches to follow where he might feature in all 10 games.so these 3 matches eventually don't matter

@@sauravkumardubey8349 but if they are picking axar over jadeja as first choice then in champions trophy we can except kuldeep and axar duo where jadeja will still be in squad but might not be picked in playing 11, but with rohit selection, you never know

It will depend on gill,Rohit, test form, bumrah's performance( wtc and England last match performance was very bad)
Rishab pant will always be the key man. Ashwin was great at that series. I think this time Steve Smith is way more prepared. 😅

I think this time the Aussie bowlers will bowl better than in 2020-21, and also this time around there is no Pujara, Rahane, Vihari in case the situation calls for batsmen to play out long sessions. If India win, it will largely come down to how many wickets Bumrah takes. He is India's MVP.

It's easy for fans to be critical of bcci, selector and coach. But we must understand there are only 15 places. They have to drop 4-5 good players. Selected players have to perform consistently you retain places and others have to work hard and perform to impress selectors.

If the answer is Ruturaj & Abhishek, Then why are they not IN & why are the other 2 IN??? Even if ruturaj & Abhishek are chosen rightly ahead of Gill & Parag.....
