I follow your lines of reasoning. Don’t be too remote, it’s not entirely safe. Always good to have nice neighbors around. Land wise, the more you have, the more work you have to do to maintain it. Coming from a van, that could be very stressful. The house shouldn’t be in ramshackle condition either, you will become a slave to it and it could become a money pit quite quickly. Also considering how much sun it gets is super important in a climate like Ireland. It will help fight off the mold, mildew, bugs, and doldrums of chronic clouds, dampness, and rain. Find a “happy house”. The more happy it is when you buy it, the more likely it will remain that way after you’re in it.

Im going through a home purchase right now here in Ireland, relocating home from the US, one thing i didn't realise was that the prices listed are just "guide" prices. The agent wont reveal this. You can make a cash offer lower than whats listed if no bids are active ofcourse[ you may know this, but just in case you dont]. The estate agent will register it , and propose to the seller and it will go from there as the official starting bid. so dont rule out a fave at a higher guide price, bid low and you never know , a seller may sell low for cash. and they have to disclose if theres been a low bid that was declined and how much.

Yeah I can't stop laughing thinking that they never got round to changing a door handle in there old house with how much needs to be done on some of these. 🙂
Really enjoying your vlogg; me being a (basic) camper-van owner and having moved to S.W. of Ireland 24 years ago. It's a wonderful place to live for sure and I wouldn't live anywhere else. My partner and I bought and moved into an old farmhouse, which we renovated over a period of four years. It was much harder than we expected. Below are a few things, in my opinion, that you need to think about whilst you're looking and deciding where to settle. Light: the winters here are long, wet and can be miserable. Make sure your house is facing the right way for to get lots of light, avoid tall trees casting shadows over the house / garden. View the house at different times of the day. Midges: These will given the opportunity, drive you mad! At the height of the midge season, if you're in a bad spot, you'll be eaten alive just going from your front door to the van . So don't buy on/near a bog, forestry or a lake. A bit of a breeze is good. Check with the locals or 'blow-ins' how bad are the midges in the locality. Japanese knot weed - It's a non-native invasive plant species that's difficult to eradicate if you have it on your land. It can seriously damage buildings and infrastructure by growing through concrete, tarmac and other hard surfaces if any cracks exist. It grows vigorously and out-competes native plants. It forms tall thickets up to 3 metres in height that exclude all other vegetation, shading the area below. You don't want to be poisoning your dream plot with the chemicals required to kill Japanese Knotweed so my advice is to avoid it at all costs. Traditional stone cottages: they are pretty but the walls are extremely thick if you want to change the interior layout of the building. They can have awful damp issues as many do not have proper foundations. The windows tend to be small so they are very dark inside. Ticks and Lyme disease: There are some areas in the south that are Lyme Disease hot spots. You DO NOT want to pick up a Lyme tick. They are spread by deer (and other wildlife). Again ask around if anyone has picked up Lyme disease locally. Trades: I think you're intending to do much of the renovations yourself; don't take on too big a project. Paying for tradespeople has gone through the roof in recent years as have the cost of materials. Neighbours: They don't need to be over the fence but have one or two in sight. Folks are generally friendly and it's amazing how often you'll be able, and want, to help each other out. I know I'm sounding negative here, I don't mean to. I'm excited for you and can't wait to see where you decide to settle :-D
I love you guys. I'm dealing with a very painful loss and knowing you guys will be on on Sundays sharing your planes has given me so much hope. Good luck and got everything crossed for you x
Louise and Emily, I worked for years for a construction company and I'm telling you you regret buying that..a money pit. ❤ you'll know when a house is right for u.
This might sound like a strange piece of advise, but always double-check the location and suitability of the septic tanks in these older country houses. The legislation here in Ireland has changed over the past few years and I've heard of a few situations where people have had to re-locate the septic tank, and to build one to current requirements is a very expensive undertaking.
To answer your question on the board ladies..my favourite so far..house no 4...so far...its not too big a project, you can move in while you do it up. You've an outside project going on...not interfering too much with home living. The price is right....without leaving you broke for refurbishment/ savings....10 minutes from a village, milk bread etc...Ive seen people bite off more than they can chew here in Ireland. Also..maintaining the land, plenty work in that I can tell you....ride on mowers etc...Youve still plenty time yo keep looking, and I wish you both good luck....❤❤❤
I loved no. 3, thought you could do a lot with the house to make it your own, great views, fantastic outbuildings for the project…but as soon as you mentioned about the mozzies I was totally with you. As for no.4 - loved it but, for me surrounded by too many trees - they look lovely but would make it dark, block out sunlight, and make it damp. Can’t wait to see next week’s episode. ❤❤
Reeds on land are a sign of wet marsh land, not good for growing anything. Lord I sound so negative but I hope it would be helpful . Your both such lovely people we all wish you the perfect home where you can live safely and happy for as long as you want 😊 I hope you come to Wexford someday your more than welcome to come use the shower and swim in Bannow Island. ❤❤
🤣😂 we called that one to arrange a viewing and it must have been you guys that already had an offer in! It’s a great plot, really nice location, congratulations! 😃😃
@@campervibe wow, that’s crazy. Thanks, yeah, the location is just what we’ve been looking for. We’ve had so many let downs over the years, just never thought it would happen. I DM’d you guys on Instagram and am now following 😉
I know you already entered a bidding war, I have done that once, and all I can say is don't get caught up and keep bidding. If the bids starts to get away, just leave it, 4 of the objects I did bid on got too expensive, but 2 of those never led to a finished deal so the broker called us and said we could get it for our last bid, we had found better objects by then so we didn't accept- The only acceptable is that the bidding restarts at start price again.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if those previous bids didn't exist. It's amazing how a property can sit with nobody interested for months until you make a bid. This has happened to me twice, I didn't enter the 'bidding wars'. Several days later my offers were excepted; this was two properties at two different times. I had been warned about this around 6 months prior by someone in the 'know'.
Beware of what you wish for. I live in this area and you will find streams attached to many of the rural properties like these. Unfortunately wherever you find fresh water you will also find midges. Those were midges, not mosquitoes. Mosquitoes can't survive in damp climates. Try and avoid properties with streams unless the stream is far away from the property.
It's interesting that with all the countries open to you, you chose Ireland to settle in. It is a peaceful, safe, quiet, and friendly place, but the weather can be unkind and unpredictable. Best of luck to both of you. I'm sure it will all work out in the end!😊
you two are so thoughtful not many on here would have given a second thought to previous owners, and would have gone for the you tube numbers, PS 100k coming 😎😎
Absolutely love you two. Thank you, you have no idea how much these latest videos are helping me. It has been a tough few years, losing my mom, dad and sister, and now dealing with a bit of skin cancer. My wife and I are keen to get a van, travel and the idea is to find our dream country/location and then we are off, much like you two. My only issue is fear of the unknown, taking that leap of faith, these videos are helping dissipate that fear and for that I thank you. Oh and please, cheer a damaged man up, please get a Miami Dolphins cap to wear!! You'll love it! Finsup!
The choices! I like them all apart from the property on the steep slope, the land appeared to have bog cotton growing which means it’s going to be very muddy and wet. For me it’s the view, peace and quiet.
Hi Louise & Emily - We are huge fans ... not commented before so this is long overdue, your channel is excellent .. and I agree entirely with fatboywool's comments ... Your content is second to none... so professional , ALWAYS interesting , and agree your outlook on life is grounded and perfect... Good luck with the house hunt , Looking forward to seeing it and how you renovate it .. Keep up the great work guys ... your channel is "Stunning" ... 😊giggles ..
Ah this part of Ireland is so sweet. The countryside is both beautiful and cosy! It has been a really welcoming home to nature loving folk from UK for lots of years ❤️
You are both happy people, but this is so right you are both so elated. 1st house would take so much cash and time, it seems dark unless its time of day, and you've got to have fun too. Whatever you do, you'll make a home and success of it. Nice honesty between you both.❤❤
What an exciting time. With only the external views to judge from, #3 is the hands down fav. So much possibility there. Love the aerial view, the adjoining hillside, terraced gardens there, the outbuildings for visiting inlaws, the views. #4 feels a bit cramped. Glad it's not my decision, though I'd kill for the opportunity to have it. The preview of next week has me sweating already for you both! 😅 I know it's a done deal by now, but I'll send good vibes for peace in the decision you did make!
Home buying is incredibly stressful, but the one thing we've learnt after several house sales and purchases is that if you agree between you what you are prepared to pay for a house, don't go over it. If that's what it's worth to you (or what you can afford and still renovate) then don't get pressured into paying more. Another home will come along, it really will. When it's right things will come together. Good luck and stay strong!
Great videos and compelling viewing. And the number of subs reflects just that, well done! You are absolutely right not to show interiors and personal effects, your sensitivity is to your credit. Can't wait for the next installment...
In case you havent come across it yet there are a few things to keep an eye out for in ireland in regard to invasive plants- Himalayan knotweed and Japanese knotweed can both go through concrete foundations etc and there is the mica issue with newer builds.
Just be aware of heating costs in ireland on older houses , Louise should spend a bit of time on making sure the house is insulated correctly, even rhe external cavity walls, old house can get cold in the winter Best of luck
I moved to the Southwest of Ireland 23 years ago. In counties Cork and Kerry you have midges from late May to Sept, so there is no way to spend lovely evenings outdoors, nor to enjoy early evening gardening. Depending on the dampness and the light they also bother you in the mornings (they only come in certain twilight plus certain moisture- on those 4 bright and dry days of summer they leave you alone)
Agree with Mary Imber, West Cork is "STUNNING". Around Bandon, Drimoleague, Kinneigh. Dont be in a hurry, there is a lot still to see of Ireland. If I was to choose, house no.4 impressed me the most.
Love you guys!! We just bought a camper and live in an old cottage in the irish countryside. Welcome to Ireland and best luck with the house hunt! On the houses so far, 100% agree on the sunlight point on the 4th house. You want as much passive solar gain and as much light as possible from the sun when we can get it. It really makes a difference.
I'm an Aussie living in the sub- tropics and it has been my experience that the more trees and shrubbery you have around your house, the more mossies there are to harass you. Our neighbours cut down a huge tree that was overhanging our house last year and also cleared out a lot of undergrowth along the boundary, and we have seen very few mosquitoes since. Flies will always be present where there are animals and it is the price you pay to live in a rural area, unfortunately.
As for the properties I hope the two of you are going to make your decision solely on how you feel not on how we feel. You have to be comfortable with your decision and your living conditions until you can get your home set up the way you want it and that's the most important thing. Good luck and God Bless ladies on your house hunting journey! But the Rainbow in your intro was a great omen! Just saying 14:56
😂😂 of course it’s going to be what we want, we are paying for it not you guys 😂 oh yeah there are A LOT of rainbows over here, it’s lovely to see them 😀
Interesting... I liked the 2nd one a lot and the potential in it. The way you started to smile around the 4th tells me that it's probably the best one for you: A pretty good start, and still good opportunities to tweak it exactly to your likings. The third definitely looked good in many ways, but with that amount of mosquitos now, I fear it can be even worse earlier on in the season. Having a fairly remote location can be good in certain ways, but I can imagine if it is a large and long project, then rebuilding it can be extremely expensive getting goods delivered. So perhaps not just "Location, location, location" but more "Location, logistics, logistics". Good luck, girls!
U guys 🙌 absolutely love watching you both work out your forever home hope you find something that fits for both of u. We bought ours 10 years ago and though it was a little project 😂 we are nearing the end and it’s totally worth it! Thanks for taking us with u x
A lesson I learned that if it’s not meant to be then there is a reason. I accredit my real estate agent to this day for those words of wisdom because it was the perfect house in the perfect neighborhood at the time. I lost out on my first house bid, I decided to finish college instead and my life gave me a big turn for the better. Good luck, really enjoyed the video.
I think the 4th house but I would also say you should consider a property with less land. You should also consider the road access for winter driving as the wetter months can make the roads impassable in places. I’d also say you should try be close enough to a local shop or village as remote living in the countryside requires that extra planning, especially in the winter months when the the weather deteriorates. PS Welcome to Ireland! Very proud that you have picked our country to settle. I travel quite a bit around the coasts fishing so hope to see you’s out there some day.
Ladies, here's an idea Property number 1 or 3 Turn it into a CL site and use the extra cash to build your dream home. So you can have your friends round. Plus your subscribers can come and meet you two and join in the build. Thus making it for more to enjoy your channel and content. Keep up the great work
I’m so happy for you guys. You’re really living my dream. I fell I love with Ireland about 20 years ago and we try to get over each October/November. Would have loved to buy a home out there, preferably in West Cork. Need a housekeeper? 😂😂
It’s good to see you working out what you both want from a house, considering things like whether the living room has a nice view and where the sun tracks around during the day and the light that comes inside, and outside on decking. I’d say as you’ve only just begun to work out what you want give it a little more time until you find something that you fall in love with. Don’t try to pick the best of what you’ve seen so far, there’s no hurry to find something so bide your time and when you find the right one you’ll know that you want it. Good luck with the search, and just relax and enjoy the process. 🍀
You two are so kind and thoughtful of others, spaces and homes💕💝 What, oh my it’s looking so lovely there, so love this stunning area!! Very best of luck!! 💝🐾💜😻💕💝💝
Even if there’s are few mosquitoes, you can always deal with that by building a outdoor area with a rooftop and a mosquito net that can be easily put on, like Trent and Todd have done in Canada.
if it's a bog, there's no escaping mosquitoes,, mold and stagnant water. Zoning, neighbors and potential for development or neighborhood property division would be concerns, too.
A couple of amazing choices, I would also recommend checking out Northern Ireland properties too. Especially around the Antrim Coast, there is a few nice spots up there. Either way Republic or North the country is so scenic and a lovely place to make a home! ☘
Myself being from and living presently in Northern Ireland I have to agree with you, up around the Antrim Coast is one of my favourite places in the North 👍🚐🐕👊
It's a VERY expensive time to buy, renovate or build in Ireland at the moment, and on top of that hard to get trades. I hope you find something to suit, as country life here is a happy one.
Hi girls. I moved to Ireland myself 13 years ago. I just wanted to say that if you want to grow food, you should check out the ground. Have a look around to see if there's ant drainage. You don't want boggy land, pluss take a garden fork with you to see what the soil is like. Bare in mind that you're going to need a couple of Polly tunnels. Good luck with the house hunting, and I promise you that you won't look back.
Do you girls know the rule of pi? It applies to all renovation projects and goes like this - every estimate of cost and of time, plus ten percent for unseen problems, multiply by pi and you have a more accurate prediction of costs - money, time, hassle. Trust me, it is true. But worth it in the end. Filming the inside - when we were house searching we could have done with some way of remembering what we had been looking at. I remember sitting in the car outside our chosen property, making an offer, and offering another thousand if they took it off the market immediately. They did! That is how much it was better than anything else we had looked at. Really hope it works out. Fingers crossed.
Bidding wars in Ireland are usually bogus it’s just a way of getting you to pay the asking price or more. If your English (it’s not a race thing-it’s that they know you’ll pay the money) it’s usually par for the course DONT let it put you off though I’m Hackney/Tottenham born and raised and have been in Donegal since 99 and never regretted the move not even once. I hope you find & buy your dream home (I did) because it’s out there Best of luck👍
Remember, with the Vacant Home Refurbishment grant you can get up to €50,000 to renovate a vacant property and up to €70,000 if the property is derelict.
On all the houses youve viewed you not once mentioned Mobile coverage or broadband speeds, have you been checking the coverage as they are all remote properties if Em is setting up office ?
Very good point. I live in a rural area in NW Ireland and although the mobile signal map shows we have coverage it's not that great, and it varies a lot as you drive along our road. Only way to know is to check the signal on your phones at various places around the property.
Hi ya, we have been checking indeed, didn’t mention it as did not think people would be interested in all them details🙂🙂 so far all the ones apart from the first one on the previous vid had good phone signal and internet 🙂
Cork, Limerick, Clare and Tipperary good in south. Also near coastline too. Beautiful countryside. West Cork can be expensive. But all of Ireland is beautiful- we are so blessed. If you go to Donegal, Sligo, Mayo, Galway is also great. We have hidden gems of beaches too and great surfing. Also the islands around the coastline are lovely too! I agree with the midges those 2mm of terror 😁 mosquitoes plus horseflies but they are located around still water and bogs. Dragonflies are brilliant for keeping them at bay during the day and also the friendly bats at nighttime. Good luck in your house searches. Great channel by the way! ☘️
You two hit the jackpot the first day you met each other , what a lovely relationship ye both have nothing too serious and every thing is a bit of a laugh
Two an a half acres. When you're doing your trips, who's mowing the lawn? Maintaining, tidying etc. You'll spend your down time maintaining grounds. I mean, that's fine if that's what you're into, but my idea of a garden is a slab of concrete and a magnolia bush in the middle so the dog's got some where to lean against. If you get my drift. Lol Number 3. Looks like you're surrounded by hills. Cold settles. Might be a bit cold? Four. Do you like sunlight? I know the older u get, I feel the cold more. Have to chop some trees down. Liked and dinged
Don't worry you'll find the perfect home/project, and I know the Irish weather is not too good at the moment, but it gets better, happy house hunting .... take care and stay safe.
Top tip. When you're climbing over a gate like that, always climb over on the hinged side. If you're on the opening end climbing over and it pops open, then you're going to bounce off the ground.. Welcome to Ireland 😉
Hello both…I would go for property 3. We had 1.5 acres and we kept lambs, chickens, table chickens, pigs and reared turkeys at Christmas. We had a veg patch and orchard and reasonable poly tunnel. So you could achieve so much. The openness with view is far better than being too enclosed at property 4 . Your absolutely right location is everything. You can always change the house. Big decisions. Good luck

I totally agree, it's heartwarming seeing the respect they have.
That was really fantastic to see - it says a lot about them as people. Well played ladies!
Agree with above - The world would be a much better place if everyone had their good old fashioned values ... Love you both for that xx
I totally agree. There are things to be kept private. Respect ✊🏻

Where you have to put up trees to protect from the wind, see what trees are going there. Red door property had very few trees naturally growing around there !! They’ll never grow. Maybe a hedge might do you !
Flys are worse around ever green pine-trees! Ive a theory that little birds die there - Just saying !
Goodness ive a lot of opinions.

Another strategy to use is to bid a fair price, and don’t counter. Just bid on another property that you are interested in. The realtor will not like you when do this, but it is very effective in a buyer’s market. I have done this several times. Again good luck!!!

Hope you are ok
I think you should keep looking. The world is your oyster. Don't settle for just anything.
Thanks, good info to know
Excellent advice!
Where ever you end up, those Irish are very lucky to have you two as neighbours
You girls are fantastic, Louise you do give in to Emily a lot , true love xx this channel is way better than tv
At this rate. You two should be at 100k subscribers very soon. There is something about the home buying process that has everyone interested. ❤❤❤
Thank you
Looking good! Tip from a country person- climb over gates at the hinge end not the opening end. Stops them dropping over time
I appreciate the respect you ladies have shown the homeowners. I did like house 4.
Yeah does make it feel a little closed in
Reeds on land are a sign of wet marsh land, not good for growing anything. Lord I sound so negative but I hope it would be helpful . Your both such lovely people we all wish you the perfect home where you can live safely and happy for as long as you want 😊 I hope you come to Wexford someday your more than welcome to come use the shower and swim in Bannow Island. ❤❤
Not negative at and very informative, thank you
OMG! The one you showed at the very end with the caption (remote but no road) is the one we bought a couple of weeks ago! 😱
The last one surrounded by trees could feel enclosed and damp, dark in winter...
Don't do anything daft until you've had a look around Donegal & Cavan. You can get a lot of bang for your buck in both places.
I know you already entered a bidding war, I have done that once, and all I can say is don't get caught up and keep bidding.
If the bids starts to get away, just leave it, 4 of the objects I did bid on got too expensive, but 2 of those never led to a finished deal so the broker called us and said we could get it for our last bid, we had found better objects by then so we didn't accept-
The only acceptable is that the bidding restarts at start price again.
Thanks for sharing your experiences
Luv your consideration of other people and their privacy etc which is one of many reasons we always watch your vlogs
you two are so thoughtful not many on here would have given a second thought to previous owners, and would have gone for the you tube numbers, PS 100k coming 😎😎
Thanks, we just tried to think of it was our house you know and I know, it’s crazy but an amazing feeling 😀😀😀
Finsup!
You would spend the purchase price again on doing up the first house.
I would have to agree..and materials are expensive....
Nonsense / if your driven - you Woudnt need to spend a lot - it’s not about money / 👍
@@tonynewman8586 it is about money, and paying for labour...
Yes builders are mire expensive as in very expensive and then materials amhave doubled. At least double the price...
@@tonynewman8586😅
The choices! I like them all apart from the property on the steep slope, the land appeared to have bog cotton growing which means it’s going to be very muddy and wet.
For me it’s the view, peace and quiet.
Was gonna say the same thing.
😊giggles ..
Thank you, and thank you for commenting 🙂
Ah this part of Ireland is so sweet. The countryside is both beautiful and cosy! It has been a really welcoming home to nature loving folk from UK for lots of years ❤️
What part of Ireland is this?
I seriously didn't want this video to end.
😀😀
You are both happy people, but this is so right you are both so elated.
1st house would take so much cash and time, it seems dark unless its time of day, and you've got to have fun too.
Whatever you do, you'll make a home and success of it.
Nice honesty between you both.❤❤
Thank you
Hi both
Take into consideration the cost of filling those oil tanks to heat the house, very expensive.
Looks like you will pass a 100k subscribers around New Years ❤ Well deserved with your amazing content on your channel 😍
Thank you and that will be a big push but I’m sure we will get there 🙂🙂
I love watching your show. You choose decency and respect for others over clicks and revenue.
Good luck in your hunt for what you want.
So much potential
Home buying is incredibly stressful, but the one thing we've learnt after several house sales and purchases is that if you agree between you what you are prepared to pay for a house, don't go over it. If that's what it's worth to you (or what you can afford and still renovate) then don't get pressured into paying more. Another home will come along, it really will. When it's right things will come together. Good luck and stay strong!
Great videos and compelling viewing. And the number of subs reflects just that, well done!
You are absolutely right not to show interiors and personal effects, your sensitivity is to your credit.
Can't wait for the next installment...
I really appreciate how respectful you guys are in this video. ❤
Brilliant vlog. On the edge of my seat. Really hope you get the house you are looking for in Ireland.
In case you havent come across it yet there are a few things to keep an eye out for in ireland in regard to invasive plants- Himalayan knotweed and Japanese knotweed can both go through concrete foundations etc and there is the mica issue with newer builds.
Just be aware of heating costs in ireland on older houses , Louise should spend a bit of time on making sure the house is insulated correctly, even rhe external cavity walls, old house can get cold in the winter
Best of luck
And even with a dehumidifier, a damp house feels much colder.
Definitely 💯
House 3 …love it! The location is perfect. You can change a house but you can’t change the location.
Sounds lovely 😊
Ooh the suspense. Keeping our fingers crossed for you. 😊
3 and 4 both have really nice surroundings! Now I want to move to Ireland and live in the countryside and write books for a living!
That’s what I do. It’s nice. The winters are so wet and horrible the only thing to do is to stay inside and write!
My wife and I have been watching you since you started many hours of enjoyment, you will both make the right decision as your honest and smart .👏
Good to know 🙂
Love this new addition to camper vibe, really admire your respect for each others wishes too 😊
As for the properties I hope the two of you are going to make your decision solely on how you feel not on how we feel. You have to be comfortable with your decision and your living conditions until you can get your home set up the way you want it and that's the most important thing. Good luck and God Bless ladies on your house hunting journey! But the Rainbow in your intro was a great omen! Just saying 14:56
😂😂 of course it’s going to be what we want, we are paying for it not you guys 😂 oh yeah there are A LOT of rainbows over here, it’s lovely to see them 😀
What a nail biter of an episode!!! Loved it....cannot wait for the next one..
I loved number four, and next week's episode looks gripping 😬I can't wait 😀 Exciting times!
U guys 🙌 absolutely love watching you both work out your forever home hope you find something that fits for both of u. We bought ours 10 years ago and though it was a little project 😂 we are nearing the end and it’s totally worth it! Thanks for taking us with u x
😂😂🙈🙈
A lesson I learned that if it’s not meant to be then there is a reason. I accredit my real estate agent to this day for those words of wisdom because it was the perfect house in the perfect neighborhood at the time. I lost out on my first house bid, I decided to finish college instead and my life gave me a big turn for the better. Good luck, really enjoyed the video.
Hiya welcome to Ireland ☺️ not sure where your looking for property but mayo, Sligo, Leitrim areas are really good prices for property prices.
Thanks
Have yous checked out Donegal yet ? Especially North west Donegal.. it stunning
Thank you, good things to consider for sure 🙂
Ladies, here's an idea
Property number 1 or 3
Turn it into a CL site and use the extra cash to build your dream home.
😂😂 you never know
Definitely the house you randomly came across 👍
Because of the trees ,and the house looked in better solid condition
It’s good to see you working out what you both want from a house, considering things like whether the living room has a nice view and where the sun tracks around during the day and the light that comes inside, and outside on decking.
I’d say as you’ve only just begun to work out what you want give it a little more time until you find something that you fall in love with. Don’t try to pick the best of what you’ve seen so far, there’s no hurry to find something so bide your time and when you find the right one you’ll know that you want it.
Good luck with the search, and just relax and enjoy the process. 🍀
🙌🙌🙌
You two are so kind and thoughtful of others, spaces and homes💕💝 What, oh my it’s looking so lovely there, so love this stunning area!! Very best of luck!! 💝🐾💜😻💕💝💝
Even if there’s are few mosquitoes, you can always deal with that by building a outdoor area with a rooftop and a mosquito net that can be easily put on, like Trent and Todd have done in Canada.
Very true 🙂
@@campervibe Yes. I meant Tyler and Todd… though I am a big fan of Trent and Allie as well 😎❤️
Even add some bat houses, bats love eating mosquitos (and other insects too)
Forget the mosquitoes, you need to think about the midges! Or midgets, as we call them.
if it's a bog, there's no escaping mosquitoes,, mold and stagnant water.
Zoning, neighbors and potential for development or neighborhood property division would be concerns, too.
Have a good think about the garden maintenance….youd have no time for holidays…
A couple of amazing choices, I would also recommend checking out Northern Ireland properties too. Especially around the Antrim Coast, there is a few nice spots up there. Either way Republic or North the country is so scenic and a lovely place to make a home! ☘
Myself being from and living presently in Northern Ireland I have to agree with you, up around the Antrim Coast is one of my favourite places in the North 👍🚐🐕👊
No 1 for me, looked watertight so whilst a big project a key milestone has been achieved ( as far as can tell from the video)
It's a VERY expensive time to buy, renovate or build in Ireland at the moment, and on top of that hard to get trades. I hope you find something to suit, as country life here is a happy one.
Thank you
Land is nice to own, but it takes a lot of time and energy to stop it turning into jungle !
Without a doubt..very labour intensive especially during spring/summer
Living the dream, you’ll know when you find the right property, it will just feel right! Thank you for taking us on your new exciting journey. ❤❤❤
I hope you find & buy your dream home (I did) because it’s out there
Best of luck👍
Your full of it mate lol. The English are known here for not wanting to pay the money and haggling like dews.
Glad you are happy and settled here
@@campervibethanks very much
In fact you must have passed where I live in Donegal in another video beside the lake
Trees=less wind+no views vs/ no trees = more wind +views +less flies 😊
Remember, with the Vacant Home Refurbishment grant you can get up to €50,000 to renovate a vacant property and up to €70,000 if the property is derelict.
Wow that’s good!!
The house in the trees. You both seem really keen. I'm so excited and it's not even my purchase 😂😂😂😂
Fantastic video. Loved it x
My favourite was the windy ridge bungalow. Best view and the wind would blow mosquitoes away!
You two hit the jackpot the first day you met each other , what a lovely relationship ye both have nothing too serious and every thing is a bit of a laugh
I tell Louise this everyday 😂
Two an a half acres.
When you're doing your trips, who's mowing the lawn? Maintaining, tidying etc.
You'll spend your down time maintaining grounds.
I mean, that's fine if that's what you're into, but my idea of a garden is a slab of concrete and a magnolia bush in the middle so the dog's got some where to lean against. If you get my drift. Lol
Number 3. Looks like you're surrounded by hills. Cold settles. Might be a bit cold?
Four. Do you like sunlight? I know the older u get, I feel the cold more. Have to chop some trees down.
Liked and dinged
Oh yeah there for us is definitely a thing of too much land for sure
Don't worry you'll find the perfect home/project, and I know the Irish weather is not too good at the moment, but it gets better, happy house hunting .... take care and stay safe.
Top tip. When you're climbing over a gate like that, always climb over on the hinged side. If you're on the opening end climbing over and it pops open, then you're going to bounce off the ground.. Welcome to Ireland 😉
Good tip 😀😀
@@campervibe Ahh sure every day is a school day😄
Hello both…I would go for property 3. Good luck
And in interim maybe a local farmer would graze land for them
That's brilliant gals! I'm absolutely chuffed for you, AJ & Summer! I'm staying, going nowhere. I want the ringside seat! And GO!
Thanks for sharing this with us and huge respect for not showing other people’s personal bits and bobs x
