Allison definitely is the epitome of comfort and warmth for the season! 🍁loving the rollers 🥰 so funny I am heading to FL and you came to my city NYC! 😅
I've been doing Velcro hair curlers and the trick is drying your hair first about 95% mostly the roots (for my hair which is wavy/curly). I also use mousse to help the volume before blow drying and hair oil. The trick to pulling them out is not doing it slow and unrolling it btw! You gotta pull it out like you are brushing your hair, one seamless pull.
So so excited to watch the NYC vlog, especially since I was there with you 🥲 Thank you for being the sweetest and most magical person, meeting you and Brandon was absolutely unreal and such a dream come true, I still can’t believe it happened to me! 💗
I love the subtle waves the rollers gave you! I think the more you do it the better you’ll get at it ❤ also I’m so happy to hear that you’ll be in my city (NYC) can’t wait for those vlogs!

Allison is one of those TH-camrs that I have related to these past couple years. l’ve been watching her since 2019, now l’m 23 and I see her as a big sister. You inspire me so so much! I thank God for YOU, the motivation, & encouragement you bring to my life everyday 🤎🍂

Just wish to say again that you add to my life especially around autumn and the Christmas season! Cheers to you Allison, you’re such a bright light to many of us🍂🙌🏽💕
My fav fall dressing:Maple Dijon salad dressing 2/3 cup olive oil. 1/3 cup rice vinegar. 4 Tablespoons of maple syrup, 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard, salt and pepper to taste and 1 tsp fresh or dried parsley. Shake in a jar and refrigerate till ready to serve.
I am sooo so excited for your vlog in NYC!! I'm definitely going to be grabbing some ideas from your itinerary for my first ever NYC trip next month!! Love you Allison!
I love when you post! By far my number one favorite TH-camr! Love you guys and I hope you have a wonderful week! I will be going back to work tonight bc I had coviod last week. So I'm finally out of quarantine officially as of today.
So when I was a kid, in the 80's, I had to wear the dreaded pink sponge rollers. My mom would put them in when my hair was mostly dry but not completely. Had to sleep with them in. The curl factor was a 12 on a scale of 10 and it lasted for days. Short story long.....time and dampness.
You're so great! I've been watching all your videos reminiscing about my time as an exchange student in the US! Would absolutely love to visit Florida someday! I just know you'd love the Oregon Coast this time of the year, it rains (a lot), but it's lovely! Already waiting for the next video, here from Brazil! God bless you!🙏
I was laughing so hard at the shot when you’re painting your nails and your camera focused on the iced latte! 😂😂😂 she wanted to be the star!! Love your videos ❤️
Loving the rollers! If you want that vavavoom victoria secret volume and bounce, I recommend putting them in with damp hair (no need to curl before), blowdrying with them in, then blasting with the “cool” feature on your blowdryer and THEN leaving them in for an hour (or more!) Also, the angle you roll them in matters. You want the strand of hair your rolling to be pointed as high up as you roll. I hope you have fun experimenting. So so looking forward to your NYC vlog and details on that plaid jacket!!!
Allison 😊you have to leave rollers in until your hair is completely dry. 😮One hour is never going to work. The slower they dry the more the curl will last. I know because I only use curlers. With natural grey hair I don’t use heat tools as they can turn grey hair yellow. Just put your curlers in on a day when you can stay home until they dry. Good luck next time. You will get good curl memory and bounce. You have to be patient. ❤Also, once you get the hang of it it should only take a few minutes to do the rollers. The curls may last a whole week depending on if you have dry hair. At night put all your hair up in a bun using a scrunchy. Or one of those plastic elastics that are curly. There is no need to use a curling iron first. Wash your hair let it dry naturally until it’s just quite damp then put the rollers in. Experiment with various size rollers to see how your hair reacts. 😊
Allison you can get a tape to tape the dress up versus safety pins will probably tear your dress. Its made for material. Get at sewing or craft stores. Even Walmart in the sewing sections. God Bless.
Alison. Heres a weather explanation 😊..it is normal for the dry season🏜 to start at in Oct/Nov after "Hurricane Season" 🌀which comes at the end of the wet season (May to Oct/Nov)🌧. As the northern hemisphere🌎 goes into the winter months❄️, the "Westerlies"🌬 ie the winds blowing from East to West over the north Atlantic weaken, so less moist rain-bearing sea air comes to Florida. The dry🌥 continental air has more influence, expanding East across the US continent to bring dry continental air from the central parts of the USA to the Florida region (hence less rain)⛅️. I have just booked our flights to the UK for a 2 week holiday with family over Christmas.. and my sons and I each have ONLY an 8kg hand luggage bag + 2kg "handbag." But we travel and fly a lot, so have learnt to reduce what we take down to a bare minimum...but it will be a struggle due to needing cold wet weather clothes😬. Alison this was a cosy and beautiful vlog as always 😊. Loved the music choices. Especially when you were cooking. Looking forward to the NY vlog. Ps. Use only the smaller rollers, damp hair and/or spray on "setting lotion".. that will help with the curls. Your hair is long, so it is quick to pull out curls.
I love that you are reading more classic literature (especially the hobbit!!). I’m so jealous that you are getting to experience Tolkien for the first time ever!
I'm playing catch up on your lovely videos Allison 😊 I have been trying to find the flexible pocket book series of, The Hobbit like you have shown us. I see Amazon has the collection in hardcover. Where can one find the set you have?
The New York City vlog is going to be a hard one for me to watch. I live in New York right by NYC but I have been stuck in Georgia since early September 🤦♀️ I miss my home and the city so much. I would’ve loved to be there at the same time as Allison.
I was in Orlando on vacation last week and I went to anthropology at Disney springs and was telling my husband I was secretly hoping I would some how bump into you! 🤣🤣

Hello Allison😊Love your videos❤ Could you please tell the name of the song🙏 I can’t find it though typed in the lyrics😢

Allison, I’ve been wondering for awhile. What length and depth did you do on your harmony sofa, and what’s the material called?
I am so happy I found your channel send you a big hug from Mexico...
The Dyson or the Shark can help with voluminous curls! Rollers are so hard 😢

I love LOTR so much, and those movies are absolutely phenomenal!

I was in Orlando on vacation last week and I went to anthropology at Disney springs and was telling my husband I was secretly hoping I would some how bump into you! 🤣🤣
A trick to keep the curl in is to put rollers in and spray with a little hair spray.
Thanks for the tip! :)
@@ALLISONBICKERSTAFF another tip is to run the hairdryer around your head before you use the hairspray. It will set in your look 😁
Where is your luggage from? 🥰
Allison loved the vlog! what is the song called at 14:12?
Did you try hair spray before roller

You guys went to my home town From NewYork live in Texas now
Does anyone know the name of the song that was playing while she was packing? I've Googled the lyrics but I can't see to find it
I wonder if using a hair dryer to heat the opened space in between the roller would create more curl?
So blow drying the hair after they are in the curlers? I need to tips! 😂
I was thinking the same thing!
@@ALLISONBICKERSTAFF In a sorts, I think to get the curl without extra direct heat on the hair itself but sticking your hair dryer pointing towards the hole of the roller (they appear large for this on camera, in my mind😆) and the wrapped hair should heat slightly with the roller??

The Hobbit is my favorite book after Sense and Sensibility and one of the reasons is exactly what you described with how detailed Tolkien is. I’ve read it about 30 times and hate the movies. Not Peter Jackson’s fault. He wanted to do 2 films but the studio made him do 3
