Sadly guys , when you see their full concert live, they have surpassed Dragon Force, they have a wide side range of style , they actually jammed with Dragon Force on a country song and nailed. I like you was sceptical , but after seeing 20 of their songs i was totally converted. You cannot base an opinion on one song. Imagine if you heard Stew's Boogie by Led Zeppelin and judged and dismissed them on one listen. These girls live are crushing and put most male metal bands to shame .There , I said it !
These ladies are amazing dude. They don't only play power metal either, they have ballads and some thrashy stuff. Phenomenal group.
They're just disgruntled that they will never be this good. And a "singer" putting down Assmi's vocal performance? Get a clue. No metal core "singer" deserves to critique any Power Metal vocalist. They run rings around clowns like these guys. Metalcore sucks. When you know you'll never be this good the only thing you can do is demean and attack. They'd make great Democrats.

New Generation Female Iron Maiden for me...so glad you guys did this, this band deserves so much more recognition than they have, even if it isn't your exact cup of tea 🔥 🎸 \m/
their complete body of work has far depth and taste than most metal act. whenyou hear the 2 hour concert here on you tube, then make a call. it is crushing !
Lovebites is the name of the band. LOL - It's real. Seen them live ;) Have all their CDs. Not a bad song on any of them. (They've toured with Dragonforce in the UK last year.)

oh it's real all right - 4 years in and this is the best girl group i've ever seen. live performances are just as good and better. they go into overdrive live and melt whole bodies - not just faces. admit it. you are in love
They're the best band to come out in the last 5 years,male or female. They blow away 95 percent of the bands out there.

Japan has best metal and rock bands...
It seemed at first like you couldn't get over the fact that they're women playing metal but overall a fair assessment as you acknowledged they're incredibly talented. Not every metalhead likes the same things. This song is definitely power metal style but they also have some diversity to their sound, from thrash to classic Maiden style metal to go with the Dragonforce type power stuff (they actually toured with them last year). Asami's vocals take some getting used to and I think they do the subtitles because her English is pretty rough but once you hear her more it clicks (or not I guess, she's not for everyone). Check out the live version of Thunder Vengeance from their new bluray concert Five of a Kind, it's on their channel. Thrashier than this and damn good. Someone just uploaded Hammer of Wrath from the same show and it's also heavier. But if not, to each their own.

Yes. I just don’t like power metal. I said they’re all talented, just this style of metal isn’t for me.
One of my favorite bands right now is Spiritbox, which is fronted by a female. Gender has nothing to do with it. Pretty sad to even take it there. Watch the full video. (Richard)

Why would you ever ask if it's real when you can simply search for the live version on TH-cam? Break The Wall, Hammer of the Wrath, Frozen Serenade, Shadowmaker and so many more.
It's so natural that Metalcore/Deathmetal bands dislike old school Powermetal/Thrashmetal bands.That song isn't so good for me. But their Thunder vengeance & Holy war are f**kin' great🔥

They are insanely good, both with powermetal, thrash and "Maiden" style. All old fans of those genres I have seen, have been stunned by them...just like myself. I am almost shocked over the lack of reaction you showed. Sonny went totally nuts...

Lovebites rips out beats, harmonies, melodies and rhythms harder than 90% of bands ever to exist, have released three full length albums, two EP's, a single, and two live albums in just about 3 years, already having 40 songs in their catalogue and no slowing them down. They're 100,000 times better than DragonForce (I've seen DragonForce live and trust me, DF relies way too much on the whole "Oh you like vidya games too?", and I gotta tell you, their influences are all over the board, from Iron Maiden to Judas Priest to Amken to Stratovarius. These women are rockin' it. I think you may be just a little bit jealous because in spite of all five of these girls being 5'2" or less, they can outshred the fuck out of anything you did. The one guy on the left at least sorta gets it but if you listen to them, they are way more than a female Dragonforce.

@@TrueShotOfficial ah, another couple of edgelords who think they can designate that a band sucks because a group not their "type of music" even though you probably picked their most power metal-y song and had you picked a thrash song like Break the Wall or Set The World on Fire, or a NWOBHM song like Golden Destination or The Crusade, you might have realized their range far exceeds what you could probably try to come up with. :)

You haven't seen anything yet. Wait till you see them live. I suggest watching Holy war live. These musicians are the real deal. Nothing to say bad about dragonforce but these girls have surpassed them especially live. Good reaction. 👍
Yeah, I'm not big on power metal either, but I do love Lovebites. This song, however, isn't my favourite. I mean, I LIKE it, but I think the main reason think I like it because it's Lovebites and I'm a fan, but I don't like Dragonforce, and this one definitely has that vibe....although I have to add that while they've played gigs with Dragonforce, I think they're more like peers. Their influences are generally from the 80s. They've frequently namechecked Iron Maiden and Helloween as two of their biggest ones, and lots of times when people hear Dragonforce, what they're really hearing is Maiden. But my favourite Lovebites songs are the ones more akin to early 80s Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, etc. They thrash out gloriously, and it's too bad you didn't get one of those tracks as an introduction. One of the latest ones a few people are reacting to is the live version of Thunder Vengeance recorded earlier this year, and I think that would have been a better one for you guys.
Wow, this is the first Lovebites reaction I've seen that wasnt fully enthusiastic and positive. But thats ok I get it though. A bit a of wisdom I've learned is that if you play an instrument or are in a band, unless you're Dream Theater, no matter how good you are there's always a young Japanese girl that can play better. I've heard it's because of something they put in the water over there lol. 🤘

And I think, that people writing comments here, getting personal and behaving like *bullies* , "in the name of (or for the sake of) Lovebites", should mind their manners. Lovebites sing about kindness, hope, respect and dignity. If Lovebites knew, what *some* people write here to "save Lovebites' reputation", Lovebites would be full of shame. No serious/convinced Lovebites fan should behave that way. It is just embarassing, i.m.h.o. 🐺

I'm not the biggest fan of power metal either, but I don't think I trust anyone who doesn't like melody and epic guitar solos in Metal. What are we listening for otherwise? All djent all the time? Boring.

Lovebites are ten times better than your band. And the voice is monotone and thye are not original, did you listening to your own band, I just heard a song from your band and is just a one of a thousand metalcore songs. It is really easy that "Ernie of Sesame Street" on the right is trying to burn these ladies to the ground, but self is a member of a simpel band.

They are way better and more diverse than Dragonforce. They have taken the best of Speed/Power metal and Thrash metal, turn it into something magical.

So...i listen to the reaction and i thought ok those guys are young so perhaps they can not connect to Old School Heavy Metal Sound before it branched out in many Sub Metal Genres....but then the comment was dropped about Asami's Vocal being Monotone and i suddenly realized the typical Ignorance of Tunnel Vision....so i thought ok i check out what those guys have to offer expecting the cream of the crop in Metal...TrueShot - Reticent was the Video of my choice...Being a Metal Head it still confuses me that USA Metal Bands now look like a fusion of hipster and reality TV Hair dressers but it is about the Music ...so it sounded pretty Good....great mix of the Instrument and Vocals but...honestly the song was forgettable but well mixed ! The String section was mediocre with absolutely no Signature Sound whatsoever.The Vocals where really good but it is just another Linkin Park'like Vocal mixed in with the noise that i usually refer to as the KAREN's Sound.Overall yes it is good MOTR Music but if you remove the Growl and Djent you have a Pop Song that is just meh!So of what i heard every single factor falls short and is in fact miles away of the Skill that LOVEBITES possess !!! However honest...it does not surprise me (but please compliment the Sound-guy for Squeezing Blood out of a Stone !!!)
I’m assuming you are related to the members of Lovebites? Reason I ask is because no one would get this distraught over a reaction video unless they had a personal relationship with the people involved.

Hello! A few days late. But, I would love to recommend a live performance: Thunder Vengeance or Break The Wall. Those songs are more thrashy and see them perform might change your mind.
Asami’s vocals tend to lean toward more prog or power metal sounding for sure. She comes from a Jazz and R&B background. The other members are classically trained. One of my favorite interviews was the guitar players saying they got stuck in their studies and wanted someone more challenging...and they discovered metal.
But hey, to each their own for sure. 😊 at the end of the day, it’s all about preference. And you can respect the talent without being into their playing style.

I am not sure who is Adam and who is Richard, so I call you left end right.
It started quite bad: "six minutes though, oh boy ..." with a sigh from the right guy and an irritated look. Before it even started.
The left guy was very enthusiastic all through the song, liking it all, big time but the right guy was not pleased. Not at all.
Seems like the right guy managed to switch the opinion of the left guy, so att the end both were negative.
OK - you both acknowledged their skills. Thats nice.
Now, it is just fine to have different music taste. But maybe this had went better if right guy had been in a better mood?
Anyhow, this is not one of Lovebites better songs. You are right that it is a kind of Dragonforce clone.
They have better ones, and generally are more fun to see live. They make very high quality live videos.

To review/react to any music, the first thing you need is an open mind. To sit there and say "this sub-genre does nothing for me" is both pointless and a waste of time. How much talent are you missing with such a narrow viewpoint?
Shakespeares' "Hamlet" does not find my personal taste, but I can acknowledge it as being a masterpiece.

I think, that professionals should be able to discern medicrity from masterclass.
