Yo bucky if you practice tricks while rolling they're much easier to learn for practical use. Just go slow and pick up the speed when you get more confident. The problem with learning a trick without moving is the pop becomes a little different and it can be hard to re-learn it once you've learned it wrong. Keep at it and it'll feel more and more like your snowboard dude!
