Not so boring. I guess I'll have to have a talk with my mom but she'll deny it. It's too bad people do that but you're a good man for cleaning it up. 👍
Ain't that the sad truth. I picked up a lot of worm containers, people come here to fish, but then they litter, or burn tires. Ridiculous. Thanks for watching buddy. I appreciate it and I hope you have a great day today.
Man, ain't that the truth. The SAD thing is how many nightcrawler containers I picked up. People come here to fish and enjoy the outdoors, but then litter?!?! I just don't get it. Keep on keeping on buddy & I hope you have a great day today.
Not boring at all. People around here dump their tires. 2 days a year the county landfill takes them for free. I found a refrigerator on a logging road. If you just set it by the curb ,the scrappers and meth-heads will take it away to a scrapyard to cash it in. I listen to Glenn Beck too.
Good ear buddy. Yeah, we have free dumpster days around here and bulk waste pickup days, but these lowlifes just can't help themselves. I've pulled tires and couches and car parts and you name it out if the canal. It is insane. Thanks for watching and I hope you have a great day today
I fault parents on this stuff. Teach them to haul out more than they haul in. Also, get yourself a good pair of glove. One cut from a nasty bottle or wire can lead to some pretty nasty Doctor bills. As for the wife and I... we are in our late 60's, we pick up others trash from hiking trails. Leave it better than what you found it. I have yet to leave a campsite that park employees have to spend anytime cleaning. Cheers!
I definitely should wear work gloves. I mostly worry about itch weed and snakes. For sure I blame the parents, but these are "adults" doing this. I'm sure their kids will do the same some day... sad.
I constantly debate on if I should or should not pick up litter out here. I do this a couple of times a year, but I feel like people are more comfortable with littering if they know somebody will just pick it up later. So?.?.?. Im conflicted about this, but I keep doing it. What are your thoughts?
They’ll litter either way, they don’t care. It is a shame you have to pick up after other people. You’d think people who enjoy nature would know better. I’ll be sure to have a long talk with my mother about her disgusting behavior
@jchiliw I just don't understand why people would come to a nice place to enjoy it and then just trash the place. This parkway is 130 miles long and there are only 2 employees to take care of it. The banks are eroding, trees that fall down and need cleared and 130 miles of mowing, so they don't have time to pick up after people. There is a group of volunteers who help out though.

Thanks. My oldest brother got me into doing this. He used to fill pickup truck loads, so it has gotten better over the years.
It’s a crying shame that people go in such a pretty place and leave so much crap everywhere

If you get satisfaction out of it,keep doing it.
I go to the recycling center in town and sometimes end up cleaning the parking lot there.
