Just described my team last year… JT, Jacobs and I would add Breece Hall coming back very slow due to the ACL… And Adams, my first WR was just OK. WR2, JSN 😢
Team just got better when I was eliminated.
Reggie Wayne is my favorite fantasy player of all time. He was the model of consistency, and he won me more money than any other player over the last 20 years. So that should tell you which side of this debate I land on. 😉
It’s all about balance though. Pollard was a late first/2nd round pick in my league and while I did draft JT in the 4th as well - I drafted WR 1-3 (T Hill/C Lamb/G Wilson) - so I was able to trade C Lamb to get both Kamara and Gibbs bc of the injury of JT - my RB situation was trash. I think Josh Jacobs is an interesting pick and even Pollard - especially if you can get them in the 4th round and later. But I do believe your first 2 rounds are all about steady and proven vs upside.
Can't help going RB Heavy, leading my leagues in transactions big time.
Drafting 101 don't draft injured players, until they values & can stay on your bench. Your better off trying to win early & trade for them later. I traded for Breece & I'm not the best at trades he's a keeper this yr. I got 1st Chip last though only took 13yrs in that league. I crushed the draft at the 10 spot turn.
Exactly. I drafted a team with Kupp and JT last year but it’s because I got them at incredible values and already had stability at other spots. Got Kupp in the 3rd and JT in the 8th round
For each late season guy you need an early season guy. I have JT but I have Mostert also. You can guess I did well last season.
Guess I was crazy as I told my friends before week one Puka was going to take Kupps job. I saw the video of how he played and knew he was a star. Watch video is all I can say it really helps find those hidden gems. Watching video is probably why pro football players all seem to do so well in fantasy. Stats only go so far.

In a 10 team last year I had McCaffrey, Mostert, Herbert, St Brown, K. Allen, Olave, Ferguson, Cle D... lost my last 7 games in a row, including 1st playoff. No real injuries, just bad luck. I'm losing on purpose the first 3 games to get the waiver guys. The draft doesn't mean a thing.
Both my leagues are bid waivers and i love it. Always interesting to see how others value players. In one league, I bid 38/100 (beat my brother's bid by 3) and got Puka. In the other league i bid 20/100, also for Puka, and the next closest bid was 5
I got Puka 1 dollar over the next guy & didn't need him & keeping him this yr.
I paid 51 for Kyren (out of 100) and got him, next closest bids were 50, 48, etc. My league is savvy to using FAAB early

JT and JJ weren’t as bad per game as you make it seem
JT was just too hit or miss in terms of availability. When he played, he was productive for sure

Context bud; JT was going in the 3rd and 4th round last year. That's 2023. Not 2024. Last year. Injury, contract dispute, discount. Last year. Not this year.
