Trying to justify avoiding Gibbs is like trying to justify the earth is flat
Just listing the concerns, as there are with anyone being drafted in Gibbs' range. We're just presenting data and the strategies we're leaning towards in 2024.
You’re paying first round money for a guy not getting goal line Carrie’s and less then 200 Carrie’s. It’s hard to beat out when your workload is much lower and you’re paying the same price as someone getting a top end wr or breece hall. Tbh kamara round 4 if he reports is a much better price and a similar player. Points per game both similar and both don’t touch the ball as a rusher as much as you’d like. It’s not dumb to think
@@DennisShumar11 personally I like 9th overall RBs who score 16ppg and finish rb10 while getting half the load he’s gonna get for the rest of his career, maybe that’s just me tho
Goat comment 😂
The earth is flat.
Being scared of Jahmyrr Gibbs is a little strange. NEVER be afraid of Gibbs under any circumstance.
Just slightly! 😁
their argument is that he was a better pick last year
no shit
he should have an kamara type year 80 rec 800 yds , 800 rushing , 10-20 total td's
he is safer than any after cmc
easy pick at adp
I agree I won’t stand for any Gibbs. This video has lighting me
He’s in a rb committee. How can he be your rb1 when he doesn’t even get over 50% touches
I preferred Puka off waivers last year vs round 1 this year
Don't we all
Brown and Worthy will lighten the box for Pacheco. Share carries? With who? CEH? Zammit? His ceiling is fine.
I love the fact that A LOT of different podcasts are forgetting about Marvin Mims being the WR2 in the broncos offense will be a Puka like explosion as far as fantasy production. I'm hammering him in late rounds in every draft that I'll be in this yr.
The Gibbs truthers in full effect in the comments. Again I get it as a talent Gibbs is that guy, but the lions are in it for the long run. They’re not running him into the ground. When the game script is in their favor they will trot Monty out there drive after drive. He will take some goal line touches like usual. At his adp I’ll let someone else deal with that shit this year. I owned him last year and it was so frustrating. He is in a 60/40 timeshare at best. I’m not using a first round pick or early second round pick on that shit. I’d rather have Kyrens 30 touches a game.
Yeah you know when someone proves he's a stud he kinda climbs in the draft lol. I think he's easily the 4-5 rb off the board. I think he's safer than almost every rb after him. I'd rather have gibbs over kyren, bark and ettiene. Taylor, Bijan, hall and cmc are literally the only rbs that are clearly better.
Definitely a reason he's going higher than those guys in drafts. We would just rather take a receiver in his range and take a shot on a 2nd round RB instead
@domainfantasyfootball I can understand that. Though I also like late round wrs too and feel good taking gibbs
@@mohammadomar7375 Like what you're saying here, and I would even take him over Taylor, who I believe is overrated.
@perrinwillis4194 yeah personally I would too though If I had a guarantee taylor would ve healthy I'd take taylor
@@domainfantasyfootballthe thing is Gibbs is going at the one two turn it makes too much sense from 11 or 12 to take a shot at him and take a WR still
Love that yall are taking the shots on these
Fading Pacheco is wild
Everyone was iffy about Kamara when Mark Ingram was sharing the backfield. Gibbs is gonna be fine.
We have Gibbs as Rb7. We don’t think there’s anything iffy about it.
Last year it was Montgomery/Gibbs. This year it will be Gibbs/Montgomery. Big difference. Do not fear Gibbs as early as 1.10. He's your next CMC.
i'm thinking more of a peak kamara...but yeah...he good
He’s not CMC. Thats too lofty.
@@domainfantasyfootball Gibbs had a better first season than McCaffrey. That the trajectory he’s on. Montgomery will slip away to handcuff status starting this year.
Gibbs went in the mid third last year, not the 5th. That would've been an insane steal
In bestball he was going higher but I swear to you in fantasy drafts I got him 4/5 turn occasionally.
Breece Hall was in the 5th and a steal through lol
I got him late 4th on my Eliminator finalist team last year towards the end of summer
@@domainfantasyfootball in your own mock draft from last year he went 3-6
Really scared to draft Gibbs??? goes on to list every reason to draft Gibbs.
Great content🎉🎉🎉
We remember what Chase did his rookie year?
Like the content. First time on channel. But Gibbs and MHJ talent is something you don’t bet against
Appreciate it. You could be right!
I believe Kyren Williams and Blake Corrum will have the same kind of backfield as Lions. Both RBs will finish between 10-20 overall.
Usually highly drafted WR rookies that go in top 5 go to teams with terrible QBs. The fact Harrison is the clear cut number 1 WR with a good QB will absolutely dominate.
Harrison is in a better position and has a higher upside than any other WR2.
Pacheco is a solid RB and I believe he is ready to have that 3year stint as a low RB1.
Only bad take was avoiding the bears receivers but other than that I agree with most of this. I think Keenan is the clear fade of the 3. He benefited from a lot of injury last year and I think he’ll be on load management to avoid injuries.
it would be hillarious if arthur smith starts using either najee or warren as the bellcow lol
Arthur does seem to do things we never expect, so he's got that going for him 😂
Gibbs is going to get more work and specifically more receiving work. He will be used the same as we was at the end of last season for a full season this year and that’s why people are high on him he was a rb1 while being limited now they are planning on unleashing him
Keenan Allen is the WR to stay away from the OC Waldron doesn’t really highlight the slot WR. If you play on the perimeter you can have a good season. Probably won’t be top10 for DJ Moore but he will finish around 12-13ish
I am sure I like everyone else will be so wrong come end of season 😂
RB PPR
1-Hall
2-Bijan
3-CMC (I know crazy)
4-Taylor
5-Mixon
6-Henry
7-Barkley
8-Etienne
9-Walker (gut call)
10-Pacheco
11-A. Jones
12-K Williams
13-Dobbins (My going out on a limb call)
14-Gibbs
15-R.White
16-Jacobs
17-Kamara
18-Achane
19-Moss
20-Montgomery
Gibbs went in the 3rd rd a ton last year some were even taking him at the end of the 2nd
in their own mock, he went 3-6
Not going to lie. I was unsure if I liked this show at first but they've really grown on me. Keep it up guys
Gibbs will have a down year if Montgomery stays healthy for entire season. Also you have to expect a TD regression. I still thinks he finishes around 13-16 overall in RB position.
Had to sacrifice brain cells listening to these takes
You didn’t have many to begin with
@@domainfantasyfootball 😂😂
Then don't watch them, or better yet start your own channel.
@@tonyblack7761 are u their dad?
@@flerbus are you @rudymorans4758's dad?
Think Isiaha Pech.. is your only off take. If you see what he did in the playoffs it was a way different use of him . In he had 20 + carries
Very fair, we could be wrong about him!
I agree, especially when they’re saying it’s receiving upside being limited,
Mckinnon was KC’s main receiving back last year and Pacheco will eat up those targets raising his ceiling with no one else added to the back field
Dynasty can sound like an echo chamber at times so it’s refreshing that they’re willing to play devils advocate on some of these top players. I do disagree on the Gibbs take tho but respect it. Happy 4th! 🇺🇸🎉🏈
I like this list a lot
Yes! Finally!! Someone who agrees with me on drafting Gibbs as high as he is going. No thanks 🙂↔️ give me Montgomery’s value much much later.
Chris Olave is due for a monster season. He had a better season than his rookie season. No more Michael Thomas means more targets for Olave in my opinion. He is one of my better value plays this year.
I will own tons of Olave stock especially if he is a late 2nd or early 3rd
So....these guys just hate RBs? Who do you guys like, Rico Dowdle? 😂
In the video, we listed a number of RBs that we like at price
Loving the Gibbs or Achane stacks with the same team RB. Can take over elite running offenses.
That idea makes me feel way better about drafting them
So you mean like taking Gibbs and Monty + Achane and Mostert because thats actually a good idea and might try it lol
That's a pretty weak case against Jahmyr Gibbs. Was hoping y'all would come up with something better because my greatest title rivals both have Gibbs 🤣 one of your strangest videos, aside from the Pacheco and Warren takes -- literally you are one pick off KTC consensus in the other takes, which means you're just as terrified of the guy under consideration as...everyone else. Would love to hear more about the rookie class outside of the big 3 WRs, and mid-tier RBs (outside of the Gibbs/Bijan/CMC/Breece range) and mid WR2s (like Metcalf and Kupp), and who your TE1s are: how they should be valued and possible trades for them. Feels like all dynasty videos are zeroed in on the big 3 rookie WRs (not so much Malik), the Falcons, and the Bears. There's 30 other teams! Could easily mention guys like Chase as someone to be terrified of (peaked as a rookie, steadily declining aDOT, increasingly injured), Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Dak, James Cook, Josh Jacobs, Pittman/JT (and the Colts as a whole), Derrick Henry...all juicier players to discuss than trying to manufacture a case against MHJ and Gibbs, and repeating consensus opinion on the Bears and Olave. Mad love for y'all, and y'all kill it the vast majority of the time -- just a little underwhelmed by this video.
This isn't a dynasty video. This is for fantasy football.
@@domainfantasyfootball Everything I said still applies, except the "rookie class" part. Seems like I'm not alone in not being a huge fan of this vid -- taking feedback from your subs (both positive and, on rare occasions, constructive) is part of what keeps a channel fresh, and why I only subscribe to y'all for my FF fix. No disrespect. It ain't the end of the world to post a meh video here and there, not when you're far and away the best channel in the space. Look forward to the next one :)
I'm worried about Chicago wrs because I don't trust that rookie qb and looking at that teams past history with drafting them no thanks I'll pass but swift will be solid and surprise na sayers
Pacheco is the only disagree here. I have researched enough to know he is going to get an uptick in receiving work this year. He is also slimmed down and going to be playing a huge role in a multitude of ways for KCC. He is my must draft RB of this year where like my CMC breakout year (I drafted him his first real big year on the panthers reaching greatly) I can see him being RB1 on the year even beating out the aging CMC. I agree with the rest. Again stats don't show changes from the year before vod reviews and in depth research (little things) will win you championships.
Here is my team of reaching a round later than adp for the win would look like. 12 team league (don't recommend reaching I am just saying these are the guys I am high on)
Josh Allen (1st pick QB)
Brandon Aiyuk (2nd pick WR2)
Isiah Pacheco (3rd pick RB1)
Rhamondre Stevenson (4th pick RB2)
George Kittle (5th pick TE)
David Montgomery (6th pick for flex)
Now for my major reaches
Jaxon Smith-Njigba (7th pick WR3)
K. J. Hamler (8th pick WR1)
There's enough food for them both Gibbs/Monty to eat, especially in a ppr..
Gibbs will be a top 10 back this year. It’s whether or not the RB4 price is justified. Some may say yes given how safe he is
Gibbs No Worries
MHJ is the exception I think.
I agree. -avery
What world are you living in that you’re scared to draft Gibbs? Come on!
A world where we’d rather have a WR at the 1-2 turn? Its THAT bad?
So Nathan specifically, you would literally take ridley over olave in a start up? Bc that's what I heard.
At price, I would pass on Olave and just get Ridley later. Better bang for your buck in my opinion. Doesn't mean Olave won't outproduce him, but you can get similar production and opportunity in theory from Ridley based on what we saw last year. They did have very similar PPG and opportunity. Again, it's more a price thing, not a "this guy will for sure outproduce this guy" thing. Hope that makes sense!
Definitely makes sense if we're talking redraft, not dynasty imo
Completely agree. This is our fantasy channel!
Tha only thing you need to worry about Gibbs is what you have to worry about every Running Back. Injury.
Besides that he pays of his adp or very close to it….
We have him ranked RB7 so we agree. Just prefer WR in that range.
@@domainfantasyfootball
Who London, Marvin Jr, Nico, Olave?
I mean None of them seem like particularly better picks….
But what do I know”?”
I like Wilson in Arizona
I agree. Double coverage will be sucked up my Marv. Wilson showed flashes of awesomeness last year
Monty will Vulture All the gold line carries
yup, and gibbs will get his from further out
probably 8 rushing, 10 rec td's
Gibbs ? 🤔🤦🏻♂️ literal has one of the highest ceilings of any rb
Shout out to when yall tried to get me to sell Gibbs 3 weeks into the season last year
But you also convinced me to buy London so I’ll let it slide
Easily our worst take ever btw. You could sue us and probably win
Do it
Its possible that Gibbs has a todd gurley type season with Jared Goff this season.
Very possible. Monty just scares us
Yall playing scared is sad
No way. Gibbs won’t get the kind of volume that Gurley was getting. The Lions like to use multiple RBs. Different than the Rams who like to feed one RB like they did with Gurley
Insane. Pure insanity.
Montgomery will be the clear #2 back this year. The draft capital spent on Gibbs, alone, would justify him being a top 5 back this year
This is an overreaction I feel like 😂
But - agree that he’s the number 1 back. Just wondering if he finishes as RB4 or higher, that’s all.
@@domainfantasyfootball They run the ball at a ridiculous clip behind the best offensive line in football, and I think he was a top-10 back in fantasy as a rookie. If Amon-Ra or Jameson miss any games at all, Jahmyr will be highlighted like McCaffrey out of the backfield and in the slot (per their coaching staff)
I like "hot-takes", but Gibbs ain't the one to play w/ lol
@@domainfantasyfootball And I think you're hyping Montgomery up a ton. If he was, say, the Panthers or Giants starting RB, he wouldn't be thought of til round 15+.
He's an average back that has already seen his best days.
@@perrinwillis4194 he is slightly better than avg, but detroit is gonna be near the goal line a lot...should be good for 10 rushing 2 rec td's and 1000 yards
probably rb 20-25
good later pick if you take gibbs
You guys suck 😂
bro got his feelings hurt about fantasy football
WoW You Guy's HAVE NO C L U E !!! unsub .... OUY !
dang - we must have hurt your feelings!
Can't put Wilson in the same sentence as MHJ. Wilson wasn't even the best WR on his college team. JSN breakout year two incoming. #youguysrock
I tend to agree!
I'm not sure about mhj but Wilson is no slouch in fact I'm sure he'll beat a lot of the ones that you think are better at #2 on there team
@@Steve-td5xu I'm not saying Wilson is a slouch, but you give JSN the same amount of targets in that same offense and I think he outperforms Wilson. I think Wilson will have a great year this year, but Mike Williams will demand targets and they just added the "YAC King" Malachi Corley. Distribution is going to be different, he isn't getting 140 targets this year. IMO.
These are absolute wild takes 😂😂😂
