I thought of this strat when SPAA was added to airfields. I discussed this strategy with others, but I was told it was stupid. This video is proof I am a tactical genius.
Holy shit, they should add AA to the middle of the map where you need to capture to encourage actual SEAD game play (this would be cancer but any change is better at this point)
I thought of this kind of strategy a while back with a few buddies. Difference is, we were all using tech-tree A-10's. We all loaded down with 4xAim-9L and 6xAGM-65D (Thermal maverick for the win). We would then spend an eternity skirting the main area of the map and get to their airfield. The enemy would then realize that if they wanted to land after exhausting all their fuel and weapons, they'd need to get through 4 A-10's and 16xAim-9L's all on coms before even getting the chance XD
You could also put two GBU-8s on the F-4s wingtips in addition to the mavericks if you were doing this strategy alone. You can honestly sling the GBU-8 some pretty far distances.
I saw the "If You Skip This I Will Be Sad" and decided that either know I usually hate watching through sponsors and skip them anyways, I will watch through it this one time.
Tell me if i'm wrong but the Mavericks in game are not TV guided. IIRC TV-Guided bombs required manual controls from the RIO or WSO in the back seat, whereas the Maverick uses a contrast seeker.
@@christopherjohnson5432 when grinding the F-5E using the F-5C I have not once seen a single F-14, and if it's only one F-14 I feel confident enough to take it on considering that I've done dog fights in customs facing the F-14 before and came out on top more than once
@@akidafloof yea that’s because the f5c is 10.3 and the f-14 is 11.7. The f5e is getting lowered to 10.7 which means it will still be able to face the f-14 at 11.7.
@@christopherjohnson5432 have you seen the complaints of F-5C facing F-14? also every 10.7 game ive played so far had zero F-14's, the highest thing I've seen was 11.3 and that's the F-4S premium

Pretty sure both are correct, it does have a contrast seeker but it does that through use of its TV camera.
