Even tho I have two pigs I wish I could have a pig room :( We have visitors like once or twice a year??? Moemoe and JettJett deserve it. You treat your pigs so well it makes me want to go above and beyond. Thank you :)

i understand how nervous you are about another introduction Abby.. But that was a freak accident with Rudi, there was nothing you couldve done to prevent it.. You are an amazing mommy to your babies. i think it was a brilliant idea to have Huck/Apples pen right next to your herd's so that they really get to know each others sounds/smells of their neighbors before they become housemates in the same "house". Keep up the great work.. :-)

I love seeing all of your beautiful prints and I remember quite a few of them! 😍 It’s so funny how it takes time to get used to working and tidying in a new space. Every time I change things up or add a cage etc I find I’m so clumsy and everything takes forever. Then once I’ve done it a few times I know which way to turn and where to set stuff etc. Loved watching everyone get their palaces tidied! 💕

I would love to see a video of you organizing your fleece by style instead of by type, like all the ocean stuff together, floral, ect. I cant imagine how much time that would save you! I wonder how that would be stored though, might not work out in reality. Love the set up and how great you take care of your baby's they are sooo lucky to have you :)

Abby, I left a comment a few days ago on one of your last videos about how I adopted a male piggy from a big pet store, and how I took him to get neutered after having him a couple of months, to put some good weight on and so he would be good to go as far as the neuter. The procedure was done Wednesday evening, and went very well, however he's gone down hill during the recovery, and now after it being the 4th day, the vet doesn't think he's going to make it! They're doing everything for him there, and I went to visit everyday except today, but I got a message this evening that basically she doesn't think he'll make it! I am shocked and devastated, thinking I would bring him home the next day and start to get him ready to see his 2 girlfriends, now I don't think he's going to live! I have been crying most of the day, and I just feel so heart broken, especially because if I wouldn't have taken him to get this done, he would be alive and well now! That's it, I can't really say anymore because I am just too upset to be losing my beautiful boy!
What do they think is going on? Are they hand feeding? Giving meds for his stomach and pain? Did they mess up inside for the surgery?

If they have ever been on the cage floors with the small diamond pattern that gives them callouses Aloe Vera Gel in the tubes you squeeze out gets rid of that problem. From the health shop, Holland and Barratt.

I don't mean nothing rude 😅 That cage just seems sooo difficult to get into! My cages are the same but big enough I can easily move in and out for cleaning ,maybe if you move apple and huckle & the herds cage was against the other side wall you could get at all their cages better but looks like the brown shelve in the corner is to low to out your cage under.
@@Aleyse that was my very first cage clean, so took getting use to. The room allows for the same size cages as before but in a different shape. I love walking around the cages vs having only access to one side like my previous room.

Ohh i love the cuffed tunnels, i think i will get some of those for my 3 new girls, they keep flipping over the regular tunnels so they can burrow in them..
Budget Bunny makes my favourite cuff tunnels.
Perfect.. my 3 girls are burrowers, they purposely flip over the regular tunnels just so they can squeeze thru them. and when i double up a liner, they burrow under it too..
You should make a video of you singing to the piggies and their reactions! My girls go silent and watch me when I sing to them. I swear when I rap they think “wth” ; but they love my operatic attempts, lol

Random mention. Something I’ve always wondered how it would work is to get washing machine pans & pull them fwd enough to catch any hay that ends up on the flr. My dog(s...getting puppy soon) track it around. I have laminate flooring & the cage is in the tiny dining area between kitchen & patio door. We’re always sweeping. I’d prob just vacuum the hay up from the trays which would be under the coffee table. (I’ve used IKEA dining tables as cage supports too). Used to love the $60 chargeable handvac from QVC, but barely lasted a year. They didn’t love the noise, but did fine when in the trio. I wouldn’t want to add a vacuum in now, being that I have a single pig. 🙁
I have hay from end of my tiny apartment to the other. Sometimes I think I'm living in the 1500's with a thatch floor.

They don't use them except for when you first put them in and Angus last year had a piece of chew toy stuck in mouth, was scary.

I make them. Storage grids and coroplast. My video setting up the cages just before Christmas shows me putting them together.
I know how you feel with introductions,but instead of doing with the pigs I have horses and I just recently had to move my new horse over with one that I was nervous about but it went fine BTW I have missed your videos

So much drama!! I love watching them explore the cage as if it were brand new. They're so inquisitive. That back corner is gonna have to go!! Have you thought about separating the part against the wall with Bullseye, Angus and Autumn from the other 2. Slide that whole section with the herd and Apple & Huck up against the opposite wall so you can walk between? Hard to tell if they will fit under the shelves al ready there. Just a thought

@@skinnypigs1 yeah, you have to get into a new routine. I totally get that. Maybe get yourself one of those claw/handle grabber things. I have a backscratcher that I use to get into one of the back corners of my girls cage. I can pull the hole set up for big cleanings but sometimes all I need to do is straighten out a cuddle cup or something in that corner. Give it a few times, you'll be zooming around there with your eyes closed in no time.

@@skinnypigs1 Okay! I also want to say that I appreciate your hard work in sharing these videos! I have never owned a small pet and am currently researching. Your work has been so comprehensive and eye opening! I had not even considered guinea pigs as an option and had never even heard of skinny pigs! I view them alot differently now! Even if I find that they are not the perfect pet for me, I definitely credit alot of your videos for the information and realistic expectations I should have owning a small pet no matter what route I take! It's a plus that this is also very entertaining research!Thank you!
I just have to say your like a piggie guru. Look how easy you medicate them. My Harley hated meds. She had a huge abcess on her hip. We think her baby may have got nasty. So they gave me pills vs liquid. They are not stupid animals they can obviously smell. Anyway I just notice your like great with your babies. Also my fiance wants a skinny pig idk where to find one. I'll have to research. Enjoy your piggies.

I am only using one for Bullseye because he has health issues. Otherwise keeping their room warm with a heater is best. The heat pad only keep a tiny space warm and would not keep their entire cage warm.
I used a vet bed with my piggy’s and one of the girls jemmani ripped it all up🤣

it makes me tired to even do one cage!! my 2 piggies are so messy, and since they are on bedding my feet are always covered in bedding because when they do zoomies it flies out everywhere!!

How can you tell that the pads haven't been washed enough to wick away moisture just by looking at them?
They are still slippery with a coating that needs to be washed off in hot water/detergent.
