Ever my comforter. God comfort you now. What can I say? I die a noble death for Ireland’s freedom. Have hope, my love. Stay strong until we meet again in Heaven. You and I and poor little Rónán. Adieu.”
“Ireland has shown she is a nation. In the years to come, Ireland will honor those who risked all for her honor, at Easter 1916.” - Eamonn Ceannt.
“One man can free a people. As One Man redeemed the world. I will take no break. I will go into battle with bare hands. I will stand up before the gall, as Christ hung before men on a tree, and I say to my people’s masters: Beware. Beware of the thing that is to come. Beware of the risen people who shall take what you would not give.”
“This is the death I should have asked for if God had given me the choice of all deaths: To die a soldier’s death for Ireland and for freedom. We have done right. People will say hard things of us now, but later on they will praise us.” - Padraig Pearse.

I may be a proud and loyal Canadian subject of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, whose ancestors are from Germany, France and Switzerland, but I fully support the Republican Irish in a united 32 county Ireland free from Britain. I do have one Irish ancestor who was in a kid in Ireland during the Rebellion of 1798 and came to America and later Canada to escape the brutal British repression in Ireland afterwards.
This is also the best version of "God save Ireland" I've ever heard
@Liam Gannon I hate those people who think Canada should become a Republic to have a better relationship with the US. I despise those idiots south of the border and it's personal. My ancestors were Mennonites in Pennsylvania during and after the Revolution and were persecuted and nearly hanged by the American government. They moved to Canada because the British Crown gave them the freedom to worship their faith. I'm forever grateful and thankful for that
I wouldn't trust a Canadian with one mouthful of a pint while going for a shit after what your lot done to Gadafi.
Dear Irish, you'd better sing it in Irish, revive your language.
R.I.P To the Manchester martyrs event thought it happened 152 years ago may they rest in peace God save Ireland!!

Lyrics
God save Ireland, said the heroes
God save Ireland, said they all
Whether on the scaffold high
Or the battlefield we die
Oh, what matter when for Erin dear we fall
High upon the gallows tree swung the noble hearted three
By the vengeful tyrant stricken in their bloom
But they met him face to face with the courage of their race
And they went with souls undaunted to their doom
God save Ireland, said the heroes
God save Ireland, said they all
Whether on the scaffold high
Or the battlefield we die
Oh, what matter when for Erin dear we fall
Climbed they up the rugged stair, rang their voices out in prayer
Then with England's fatal cord around them cast
Close beside the gallows tree kissed like brothers lovingly
True to home and faith and freedom to the last
God…

@@neverunprepared7554 Let us make sure that no priest nor nun is allowed near any child while alone. The real pity of the Mary folk tale is poor Joseph. His spouse was impregnated by another. So adultery was the name of the game and do you know what Jesus was then known as both legally and probably by other children? No wonder some say that he never had a spouse or children. Get yourself some needed therapy.
