    Beautiful knife - elegance and strength combined - I don't have a 110 but I'd have one of those! I'd no idea Buck made anything like that- thanks for bringing it to my screen!

      No problem David! The word needs to get out on this beauty, I don't think anybody will be disappointed with it.

    That is a very handsome looking knife! Really like the blade profile. I have a 112 and I love how solid and rugged it is, it is pure USA quality and very happy to have it in my collection 👍

      The 112 has some great history behind it. Everyone I know that either has one or owned one in the past has raved about them.
      This is my first model other than the 110, which I've owned 3 in my lifetime.
      Broke the first one.
      Second one was stolen.
      Third one is in my possession.
      This in a span of 43yrs!..lol
      Take Care Ian,
      Have a great weekend my friend!🙏✌️

      Just ordered a slightly used vintage pre-1986 Buck "Duke" 500 (with Script Text tang stamp) off ebay for $37..$44 shipped to door.
      Very elusive 😁

    Hey, thanks for the mention! Glad you like the knife- the handles on yours are gorgeous! I don’t know about the file work, but I’d guess machined.

    • @Warthogg1
      @Warthogg1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, problem about the mention. I'm so glad you opened my eyes to it. I really like this one.
      I agree, the filework does look machined, but either way, it's a nice touch.
      Have a great weekend my friend!🙏✌️

    A good looking buck, plus it's a handy pocket sized knife.
    The old 110s in the seventies were mostly bullet proof but quite a few friends broke the tips off theirs, I suspect from levering stuff. I destroyed the pivot on a 110 using it to chop stuff but it lasted a long time before it died and I used the 440C blade to make a pocket fixed blade, hate to waste a nice piece of steel.

      Bravo! love to hear that, nothing like making the most out of seemingly useless situation.👍

      Good Job Timbo! This, in my opinion, is Buck's best looking knife to date & of course feels like a tank ready for battle when in hand.
      Have a great weekend 🙏✌️

      @@Warthogg1 Thank you Warthogg. I'll reserve my opinion until I get the knife, but at least on camera, it does look pretty damn sexy!

    I've got more Buck knives than any other brand, and they end up in my pocket or on my belt more often than not. But I had no idea the 532 existed, so thank you for showing it off. Gorgeous knife. Have a great weekend, buddy!

      They are worth the high price Pete, that fixed blade is serial #12 of only 30 made back in 2011 - super, super high quality - flawless

    Slick looking Buck! The fact that the blade is so small compared to the handle throws me off a bit, but it's a beauty.

    • @Warthogg1
      @Warthogg1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, The blade length especially the reduced cutting edge was a concern for me too. But since I liked it's aggressive shape, I went ahead & bought it. After having it for a few days, I'm glad I did.
      Have a great weekend partner!🙏✌️

    Some really nice knives you have on display. K-Bar was my first fixed blade, but I carried a Buck 110 for decades. Still have it. I like the covers on that Buck, & the blade has an unusual shape for a Buck. A mid lock is easier to manipulate for me. Really good looking knife.

    • @Warthogg1
      @Warthogg1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks William, The 110 was always the "standard bearer" for me, but this more manageable size looks like it's going to be a little powerhouse in the field & it's stylish appearance is the icing on the cake!

    4:10 the canal street ? barlow is so attractive and I thoroughly approve of its recessed tang (peak?) having been bitten before. The Buck 110 is such an icon, it's no small wonder it's uncle Randy's favourite knife. Your throw must've been good though, to get it to hit the tree, blade first and without bouncing out. The blue wood 532 looks shaped to be a user.

    • @Warthogg1
      @Warthogg1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well Stone, to be honest it was about my 5th throw, took a few trys to get the perfect 180 degree rotation from about 15ft, I always hold the blade tip when throwing knives. even though the handle slapped the tree on my first few throws, the beast held up without any damage.
      The tree bark actually gives way a little, absorbing some impact.
      I'm a big fan of Canal Street knives.. Quite an impressive history! Very small workshop in New York, with 4-5 very talented artisans.
      They closed the doors for a few years 2015 - 2018 & reopened as Canal Street Cutlery Co-op. Highly sought after by Collectors. That fixed blade was made in 2011 when they were in their prime - a beautiful piece. Serial #12 of 30 I believe - still trying to verify the total Production numbers on that model.. It's sister model had a drop point blade & I know for certain only 30 were made.
      Don't get me started on their traditionals! lol... Top notch quality.

    The only reason I have a Buck 110 is because someone gave me one. I really have tried to like the 5 inch LB/folding Hunter, but it still doesn't do anything for me. I think I would like the 532 mid lock better.
    Not sure is it was pointed out but your Canal Street Fixed Blade is not a "D Handle" but a "D'Holder" as in D'Alton Holder, a custom knife maker.

    • @Warthogg1
      @Warthogg1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Tobias!
      It is a D'Holder🤦 I don't know why I keep calling it a D Handle. Dang, Rookie!😂
      There is also a Buck 500 "Duke" that might be right up your alley Tobias - Give it a look-see.

    A real beauty Rick. The nylon Buck 110 sheath can be carried horizontal too (as you know I'm sure) I love it. very discreet and you really don't know it's there

    • @Warthogg1
      @Warthogg1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah Vinnie, I may have jumped the gun buying the standard belt carry sheath, I'll look around to see if I can find a used horizontal carry version that will hold it nice & snug. I can always return this one I guess.

    "Kind of a rough grind"? That comment must be in the running for understatement of the year. Don't doubt its cutting ability but as far as appearances go, it is more saw like than slicing/general usage blade. Is this the beginning of a new trend with Buck.

    • @Warthogg1
      @Warthogg1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      LOL! I guess It was a slight understatement 🤣.
      It looks worse than it performs, I was able to slice up some thin receipt paper with it. I'll probably smooth it out some before taking it out in the field.
      As far as a trend, The Buck 110 I bought a couple years ago is the same way.

    What is that red handled clip point fixed blade knife right under the winchester box? Like the shape of that one...

    • @Warthogg1
      @Warthogg1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Kevin.. That's a Canal Street Cutlery "D'holder" custom..4" Brown linen Micarta custom handle with 3.75" Bowie clip made from sandvik Steel (19c).. buffed to a super high polish -
      serialized on top of blade.
      one of my top finds pride and joy... got it for less than any Bark River knife I was looking at.
      Thanks for checking it out Bud!✌️

      can't go wrong with either

    Beautiful knife but that is a coarse blade grind. Must be taking lessons from Case.

      LOL, it's actually better than it looks Steve - but I'm planning on smoothing it out a bit 😁
