@familymantelugu It would be great if the Petrol price won't change for the next 8 yrs. Also fuel efficiency of ICE engine goes down and fuel price goes up You haven't factored it. Also, MOVING parts....more that double the EV in ICE vehicles. Partial replacement of the battery is not that expensive compared to Transmission replacement in ICE...Also, batteries won't decide to die after 8 yrs. If warranty is the deal you are looking into...8 yrs for battery warranty. How much warranty do you get ICE transmission?

Currently iam using MG ZS EV 2022 bought. Ippati varaku I travelled 38000 kms in 2 years na monthly average min 1800 kms untundi though na car price ekkuva ayna iam enjoying benefit of instant pickup and automatic features. If your daily is usage is more than 50kms u can go with electric cars. And if you want to own secondary car take smaller EV cars within budget of 12 lakhs.

Sir I do agree with some of ur caluclations but u r completely missing out some serious issues
    Of ICU cars
For petrol car every three months u have to change engine oil
Filters that will cost u around 5000-6000 per 3 months
That alone will cost u around 192000
What about wears tear cost cost of petrol when I bought my car in 2007 it was rs 55 now in 2024 it is 102
From here on cost of petrol will go high

    • @familymantelugu
      @familymantelugu  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Arun,
For petrol car Engine oil change is for every 6 months - 1 year or 5000 kms to 10000 kms based on the type of Engine oil used.
Air Filters dont cost that much, Service costs for most of the cars like Maruti, Honda, Hyundai and Toyota for year ranges between 10000 inr - 20,000 inr.
Petrol cost has definitely increased with time like all other costs ( take inflation into consideration), last 1.5 years petrol cost has stayed the same.
but we dont really know the future and at the sametime if people buy electric cars a lot, electricity charges may also go up, we cannot completely predict.
I agree that EV's can be really good if you drive more, I am not saying EV is not good, but you cannot say EV is good for everyone.

Based on your analysis, If I have 12 Lakhs in hand (instead of car loan) I prefer buying a Petrol car for 7+ lakhs, and put 5+ lakhs as Fixed Deposit for 8 years. At the end of 8 years, total petrol car costs me 16+ lakhs. Where as 8 years Fixed Deposit may yield 9+ lakhs. So, my petrol car cost will be 16 lakhs minus 9 lakhs, which is equal to 7 lakhs. The only advantage of Electric car is we save our environment at an extra cost to give better environment for our future generations. Hope you agree 🙂

In fact, the biggest scam in India is EV cars.
You are not calculating interest paid for that additional premium of 6 lakhs for EV... Every car buyer buys on Loan... so we are paying around Rs.6000 per month for additional EV cost of 6 lakhs .
    1) Using this Rs.6000 interest paid every month for EV, we can compensate petrol car fuel charges.
    2) Again after 7/8 years , we need to buy battery (forget about that module cost and consider full battery) so the same story repeats
    3) You never get your 6 lakhs additional cost back..and when we resell the car, the value for battery cost will be zero.
    3) EV is useful for the people who runs above 2500kms/ month only.
    4) You need to plan your journey properly due to its range is around 300kms. You need to wait in queue at charging stations (mostly at restaurants) and you will make Rs.1000 bill for your food while battery is charging.
    5) Environment: In cities it is good, the battery manufacturing process cause so much pollution in their manufacturing locations.
    5) So EV car is a BIG scam.

    • @familymantelugu
      @familymantelugu  14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Surya garu,
I agree with you for points 1,3,4 and 5. I respect your insights.
Correct I did not calculate the interest paid on EMI for the example here,
Yes that extra 6000 INR can help us drive a petrol car 750 kms / month (considering 8 rs per km)
But for people who travel 1500 kms/ month - fuel cost will be 6000 INR more.
For the battery replacement cost, Experts suggest that we dont need a full battery replacement, and also the warranty is for 1.5 lakh kms. But time only will tell the reality.
Yes I also believe right now EV's are not value for money in most cases, Let us see if they become more affordable in future.

      Hi andi,
Petrol cost tagocchu kuda in near future as predicted by Experts like Tony Seba who said that petrol prices may decrease by 50% in the coming 5 years. But we never know the future exactly.
But you are right buying an EV right now is still a good choice for people who drive more than 50 kms / day because right now govt is charging only 5% GST on EVs where as it charges 28% GST on petrol cars.
That means for 6 Lakh Rs Car, The GST for petrol car is 1,68,000 INR.
But for an Electric car GST amount will be 30,000, but in near future if more people buy Electric Car Government may increase GST.
So right now some conditions are favorable for Electric cars.
