I have a dumb question. Isn't the fog or haize juice itself that causes each unique different look? Isn't the only purpose of the machine to push the fluid out? I'm not an expert at this machines but I am looking into buying a haze machine because supposedly is better for light beams. What's the exact name or type of the juice that was used for the ANTARI W-515D? I already have a Chauvet Hurricane 1600 fog machine so can't I just buy a really high quality fog juice to create really nice beams for my lights? I'm really confused right now can someone please help me. Is it really necessary to buy an entire new machine? My sole purpose is for photography photos with lights and moving heads. I do like this video very much it is one of the best I've seen thank you.
Thanks for this, was looking for the difference between the haze and fog machine as I have some upcoming work and wanted to creat some nice light shafts
Also asked myself this. With the result at 3:40 it looks like it may have to do with the temperature of the heating element.. I imagine it "burning" the fluid more or less, rendering it a different color
Nice video but where is the Peasoup Phantom or MDG Atme? I would argue they are the top 2 hazers on the market. Pricey but well worth it. Thanks for taking time to make the video though.
@@nickblyth166 fog DOES leave residue. I currently only run foggers and my DJ settup gets slick nasty with residue after just one party. Hence why I am haze shopping rn
Hi is a Fazer and a Hazer the same thing. I have read about the differences but my local 30+ years haze & smoke machine dealer says its the same thing. They have Antari, Beamz and Eurolite as brands. I have been looking at the Antari Z-350 and some say its not as good as a Hazer. Then they have the Antari HZ-100 Hazer. Perhaps this is a better buy?
@@HilleCine Hi, dont know what happened I wrote answer the same day. Anyway, I got the Chauvet DJ Hurricane Haze 1DX, and Im quite happy about it. It has a little disadvantage to the more expensive ones. You cant kill the fan and have just a little standby warming. But I keep it on in another room with the output set to zero. Then I just bring it in when I need to refill the haze a little. If you turn it off it will take like 5 minutes to warm it, wich feel very long when there are actors standing and waiting.
So amateur question: if it’s “haze” as opposed to fog, does that mean it’s a less chance of setting off a fire alarm? I’m hesitant to buy one because I’m just afraid I’ll never be able to use it(mobile DJ) due to smoke alarm concerns. I really want one, just don’t want to waste money on something I use...once
It is the same process as a smoke machine. It just distributes the fluid in a different way. Usually with a fan. If you have not had problems with a smoke machine you will not have problems with a hazer.
HELP ! HELP ! Hi there. I want to buy a powerful fog machine that will allow me to put deoderiser, disinfectant or sterilising liquid to create both fog and haze and clean my car and my garage. Can you advise me on which fog machine I should buy that will allow me to do this. Much appreciated.

Would the fog/haze fluid matter more in influencing the colour of the haze or would the unit itself be responsible?

Very nice video! Thanks for doing this!
Does haze also leave a residue behind just like fog?
Fog doesn’t leave any residue. It’s haze that does.

Great video! thank you!
Great video! do you have any experience with Oil Based Hazers? im looking at the ADJ Entour Haze Pro, but can't find much view on it.

What did you go with in the end. Looking at a second hand Z-350.

Get a low fog machine. Cool effect, no chance of setting an alarm off
Low foggers are great. I’ve got the antari ice-101

Look at antari. They have a new line of disinfection fog machines
Interesting.
