I loved Knuckles as a spin off show. It was funny but also did seriousness on a balanced level

i absolutely ADORED this show. i couldnt believe that people disliked it so much
You know I was pretty much expecting Sam Procrastinates to hate it but I don’t care what the hardcore fans say, they always expect what Paramount can’t do with the franchise and they end up the most disappointed and that’s their loss but obviously they blame it all on the studio. I hope they won’t have this attitude for Sonic 3, especially with all that the studio is doing for it rn. This show was awesome in all the ways and you can’t convince me otherwise!

To be completely fair, the trailers were misleading
I though he would be one of the few people who didn't hate it. Kinda shocked how much he despised it. It is genuinely unnatural. Now I don't have an issue with his opinion on the series, but I do think it's a bit much to say Sonic fans are "settling for mediocrity" when they don't hate on a spinoff show.
I just want a show about Knuckles doing cool things. And I didn't get that.
Also, is it *wrong* for hardcore fans to get something they want? We literally never do. Not Prime, not X, not Boom, not the movies, not the old shows. After 30 years.

I really don't understand why people were expecting this to be about Knuckles' solo adventures back in Angel Island or whatever, when it was never a secret that this was a show about Knuckles training Wade.
Look I agree with his takes has someone who mostly liked the show accept for his opinion on episode 4 “shitting the lore fans hold so dearly” ok bro your pushing it geez
It was fine, a bit disappointed, was expecting them to remake citizen kane but with knuckles but this is nice too

I liked the series, I think it was on par with the sonic movies. Seeing sam crying in the end of his review really felt like it came out of nowhere😅.
I get it tho, afther the mario movie I need a good animated sonic adaptation.
The knuckles show by itself was very intertaining I just hope they do shadow justice and reali focus on the adventure plot in movie 3.

I loved this show but the only issue I have with it is Wade’s sister. She is outright abusive to Wade and she’s the least enjoyable and funny character ever
I 100% completely agree with you. Wanda was a terrible sister/person. The show would have gotten a higher score from me if she was a better character ( or heck, just take her out of the show. It’s not like she did anything plot important anyway).
Still, I really enjoyed the Knuckles series. My score is a strong 8 out of 10.
Wanda’s the reason I gave docked a whole point down for my score which would’ve been a strong 6/10 but is now a solid 5/10 for me. Other than that this show was so fun despite being mid

Yes! It was advertised as a buddy comedy with knuckles and wade. People gave themselves super high expectations despite nothing they asked for ever being promised. We got the buddy comedy with knuckles and wade that we were advertised. People review it not as what it is but because it wasn't what they thought it'd be, despite it not even being advertised as what they wanted it to be. Review it as what it is, not what you wanted it to be. And that's what you did here. It was just a fun goofy show that really has no importance to the overall sonic movie story. It's just meant to be dumb fun, and they did that really well
Agreed! Although it wasn’t just comedy, I think we had some great depth for both characters that Wade really needed and Knuckles to some extent. Idc who hates this show or why, I love it in all the ways!
I really fear for how people will react to Sonic 3 when it comes out. I get the feeling people have equally unrealistic expectations for it.

Family drama about bowling tournaments? Yeah, that's what I asked since forever for a Knuckles show.
A manchild comedy relief with daddy issues becoming the main character? Oh yeah that's nuts. Sure. Brilliant idea for a Knuckles show.
I never bought the whole "Sonic fans being entitled" thing until the reaction to this show came out. It's a straight to streaming, low budget (comparatively) show, of course they can't afford to have CGI characters in every scenes and had to focus on the human characters more.
Knuckles fighting Iblis & taking his power is an interesting lore flip
I also had a really fun time with this series. I honestly don't have a problem with how much it focused on Wade, as I found him to be very likeable and easy to root for. I liked him enough in the films, but I really enjoyed getting to know him much more, and I found his journey very satisfying as well as his dynamic with Knuckles. The fourth episode was my absolute favorite of the series, due to the insanely bizzare adventure Wade goes through, and his face-off at the end is very satisfying. I also really enjoyed the climax with how it complimented the character arcs of both Knuckles and Wade. Honestly, my only real issues are Wanda being super unlikable as well as the lack of closure in many ways, regarding Knuckles' return to Green Hills. But at least we are getting the third film before the year is over. Thankfully, this series has reignited my hype for that film even more again.

I never liked the abusive girl trope in anime/show´s/movies. Its so overused just because of feminism being kinda normal rn.
i don’t get the love for the show. it’s false advertising to play the show off as a “Knuckles” show along with the trailer showing off mostly only knuckles as they knew that would be the selling point. Wade’s family is extremely annoying and the last 2 episodes are absolutely boring and awful. If it was called “Wade & Knuckles” i wouldn’t have as big of an issue with it.
