    as someone who is thinking about putting an OLED TV on my desk, smaller speaker footprint might actually hold some value

    • @joeyl.3007
      @joeyl.3007 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have the 48" OLED TV as a monitor, and what I did was NOT put it on my desk, but picked up a stand to mount it to and put it past the edge of my desk by about a foot. and then for my speakers, I have a pair of 32" tall stands to the sides of the TV, leaving the desk clear. Lets me not worry about the footprint on the desk.

    I have some ai41's for well over a year and love them, I use them bluetooth with my laptop and optical with my tv as additional speakers to my other home speaker setup. The bass out of them using another dac with bass boost can be fairly impressive. My biggest complaint is the amp. Those speakers can 100% go louder and they get loud enough for most uses, but as larget room music or home cinema of any kind they are definately gimped and it feels like on purpose. the 41's should have the 120 and the 61's should 150 or something as it's obvious they can handle much more. But against they are extremely versatile, sound good, work well, and get loud enough as long as you aren't relying on them only for home cinema or a large room. It feels like they made really good speakers and then powered and dsp's them for old people, but they are still goood. Seriosuly the bass can thump if push them using external dac. Also I have seen a video of someoen who ripped out the power and properly powered them and they were 2x, but thats too much work. I've wondered if the 6.5 would have been worh it but the 5 footprint is nice to fit and I did get them on sale for 200 which is the main reason i did it. I haven't really seen the 61's drop. I imagine they must sell as they RAREly go on sale or the company really doesn't care. I'm tempted on their 10 inch sub , but i don't really feel like its worth more than 150 compared to other things u can get for the price. Al their stuff just needs to drop 50 bux and get a slight power increase and they would prolly be top sellers, but they are i dunno too old school, greedy, ignorant, or just don't understan the broad consumer space/ care for their powered line. They know old guys with their turn table will be happy and chances are u can't blow them with that power EVER. Not having Dolby or Dts is also unfortunate. All that said for the 200 I spent i have no regrets. Well worth it at that price point.

  • @pavelgrozev236
    @pavelgrozev236 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Versus Klipsch The Fives? Or T1 Encores? Especially on a desk? I am getting The Fives because shipping + customs taxes for EU on any US/CA speakers is more than their actual value. Still interesting though. Vanatoo is hopefully coming to EU markets Q2 of this year for T0 and EOY for T1. :)

    • @bradhuskers
      @bradhuskers 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      According to what they're saying, when the klipsch fives are paired with a sub woofer, they become AUDIOPHILE QUALITY. Without the sub, they are good, but with the sub, they are INSANELY GREAT.

    • @pavelgrozev236
      @pavelgrozev236 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bradhuskers Thanks for the info! Yes, I heard as much. Guess the DSP adjusted bass can be too much of a good thing and bleed into the mids a bit. Honestly hoping that since I will be listening near field it won't be such a problem but I definitely am thinking about a sub pairing as well :)

    • @gatobakuniano
      @gatobakuniano 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you seen The Fives in person? They are quite big for a desktop.
      I bought the klipsch r-41 pm, for a big desktop, and they were too big. But, overall, the kind of sound they give was clearly designed for bigger rooms, with a very V-shaped tunning, to fill the space. I love elevated bass and V-shape tunning, but I can tell you that the sound was just wrong...
      I ended changing and I have the Kef Eggs with a Klipsch Subwoofer and I love the combo.
      Also, I have the JBL 305 for the TV, on a very small apartment, and I can see how they are close field. Soundstage is great at 1m distanced.
      I don't know if The Fives DSP is going to make that big of a difference. Let us know if it works for you

    • @ZReviews
      @ZReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For EU I can recommend Triangle Elara (ln-01a), I was able to pick them up for less than 400€. Zeos considered them to be in the same tier (butter tier) as The Fives and the T1 Encores which are like twice the price.

    i totally agree about that like/dislike thing . i used to seek tutorials about how to fix various problems like software errors . i think they did it because a lot of those who pay youtube for promo or other stuff have asked dislikes to be removed or hidden , thinking that will increase their popularity ; but so they removed TRUST , and youtube view count doesnt necessarily mean real life profit . facebook never had dislike buttons , but facebook is just for entertainment and nothing else . next , youtube might remove bad reviews on google maps 😠you know what that means ?

    I'd kind of like to be able to hear the 41's just in case these two are speakers I decide to wait and watch for a sale on. You never know if the smaller ones might actually go on sale more frequently or for a deeper discount because of what you mentioned. I mean for a difference of $40 bucs you are of course correct in recommending the bigger brother the 61's but that may mean little brother will go on sale more often and for a much deeper discount. I can see on my desk actually kind of wanting the smaller footprint depending on which of my desks I am at.
