Your plot looks good. It was so dry I didn't bother planting the brassicas this year (won't make that mistake again). Didn't see anything this weekend, but our cams are still showing traffic so when we get back from NAHBE, hopefully will be able to get at least one more for the freezer before season ends. Wishing you success for the rest of the season as well.
Yep Frost'll do that. Looks like they are doing well for just getting frosted hard. Will they perk back up or was it to hard of a frost and finished them off?
@MinnesotaBeekeeper I suppose you could if ya wanted but I just plant for the deer 🦌 I remember my grandmother would eat some purple turnup when I was real little. Happy New Year!🐝
@russellkoopman3004 I think the deer here still have yet to get used to the brassica. My 2nd year planting. I'm sure when the snow starts covering other crops they'll start hitting it harder.
@@BlanchardsBees I'm in the Missouri Ozark highlands (my land borders Mark Twain Natnl Forest on two sides) and the first year I planted mine, the deer came in and would take a big bite out of a turnip, then go on to the next one and do the exact same thing. I had wheelbarrow loads full of turnips with just one bite taken out of them. They didn't go to waste, though, as I fed those to my goats. The next year, however, the deer tore them up, barely leaving anything behind - be it the greens or the roots.
Looks great! Thanks!

@@Highland_Honey thanks friend I wish you the best of luck!

@dcsblessedbees I think they are done for the year we finally got snow the other day.
William I never heard of that stuff. Looks like turnips. Is it good eating? Happy New Year's from minnesota!

Geez, that's a huge bulb! Is it like a turnip? I'd be eating that myself, lol!
@gregzeigler3850 yeah I think so
Thanks William. Doesn't look like they are zeroing in on that stuff. Maybe now that the corn and soybeans are harvested they will eat it up??

@Highland_Honey that's awesome thanks for sharing 🐝
Gun season put a stop to the traffic on our cams. Hope you still have some deer to eat all your brassicas. Haha. J/k.
@ErnieHatmaker Checked cameras yesterday and it's about the same. Funny how the deer know.
