As someone who regularly shoots train derailments with a drone, it's not that train derailments are getting more frequent, it's just that more people are out there filming them. Everyone has a camera in their pockets these days and social media. So it just seems more frequent. Also railroads spend a great deal of time and money on track maintenance. I just shot the train derailment in Iron City Alabama last weekend and that section of track gets routine maintenance every winter so it was in excellent shape. The problem more often is with bad wheels or bearings on the cars. Most of the cars you see on trains are not owned by the railroads. They may have a railroad logo on them but they are owned by leasing companies, like banks. There are millions of rail cars on the tracks and inspecting every single wheel and bearing is a time consuming process. Many defects can not be detected without expensive equipment.

I wish the resource tree grew a branch for every deposit it finds. If it's placed near a couple of clusters imagine the roots spreading over 8 deposits and giving you 8 iron at a time. Or one branch for each deposit of any kind. Like the roots finding both water and iron and having a branch for each.

Is it just me or does his luck with getting the gadgets he wants like unbelievably insane??? He wanted the spire, auto cannon and condenser and got all of them
9:30 our railroad infrastructure has not been maintained the last 190 years. The wood that holds the steel tracks decays from the weather and causes the steel to become loose and warp.
Train derailments are not that rare. But maintenance has been lacking since the railroads started using precision schedule railroading it’s cut staff by 30% in the last 5 years and made hiring almost impossible. We hire only for 60-70% of people to leave before they finish the first year.
Love the Kwik Trip reference, though I doubt very many people understand it as their only really in Wisconsin. Lol
The seed will not only grow for iron only you can plant on water or cobalt but iron took 1 day to grow than cobalt took 3 day and water 2 day
Plus the tree can get 3 branch if there is 3 tiles of rcc either iron water or cobalt

Blitz u can plant the tree on any ore and u only need three ore to get three branches to produce ore

More awesome blitz action. Also I agree the auto turret is better than the shotgun, it seemed to kill enemies faster.

Blitz! If you make a world with it's size on Large you can pick up three different relics so you can have the stun-laser, auto-cannon and the spire on one gameplay

The train thing is mainly in the news cycle, but instigated by a pretty bad disaster. We had a couple train derailments last year no one heard of amd i think a brige collapse, nut the bridge coukd habe been in a different country. Cant remember.
But maintenance on trains is pretty bad. In some lines if they barely work thats good enough.
Too answer your question. Yes it is mostly just the news broadcasting it (about trains derailing). Based on bureau of transportation statistics there is over 1k derailments/year.
You know, I think I have thought of a map where its basically infinite where the deeper you go the more resource you find, or plentiful which adds more recourse.

So apparently the Department of Transportations' Federal Railroad Administration has reported an average of 1,475 train derailments per year between 2005-2021. So they've been happening often but I don't know if they even do upkeep on the railways.
Train tracks maintenance is the cause of the derails, those tracks supposed to be changed every 25 some years

The trains have been derailing but since they had to light it on fire in Ohio it brought a lot more attention and since it's in the news and topical they report on others even tho they happen literally daily. Like actually every day of the year there's a train that derails or crashes in the US.

Hey Blitz, I may have a challenge for you in this. I wonder if it's possible to do a 1 Turn challenge. Basically you're not allowed to kill the first wave until you get the end game device thing. It's just one enemy. You may be able to outpace it.

There was an image released on what the rails looked like in some areas, and it looked like wet noodles for miles waving across the land.
The trains had to slow down to a crawl just to not derail... but that failed.
As far as the train derailments, from what I've heard the railroad lobbyists have managed to get most of the regulations removed, so the railroads haven't been doing proper maintenance to save money...
What is the best combo? Gun turret and stun Lazer maybe.

the train derailings recently are a direct result of changes in safety regulations for rail workers. policy has become more lax and workers are being ground to dust.
