That Starlink array floating across the sky in near-Earth orbit is interesting. What a climb! WHAT VIEWS. The Mojave desert is a gorgeous place. Thanks for your efforts! in bringing this to us. I want to check out an area northwest of your location here, just north of the TTR/Area52 for camping and hanging out in the high desert scrub, but in a little "squaredrop" camper (with it's Webasto diesel heater, see!) towed behind my half-ton. One last comment: I did see something interesting while I was in the area. We had just left Rachel at about 7:30pm and headed back to our cabin in Alamo, after 10 minutes of driving we saw directly in front of us what some would describe as a UFO. It was in the same valley as us, directly in front of our route which appeared to be anywhere from where Groom Lake Road and probably Tikaboo Peak. It was this big bright orange pulsating light that lasted for about 8 seconds. 30 seconds after the first one, another appeared just a little to the right of the first one and also lasted for about 8 seconds. The best description I've heard is a mini-sun. It was definitely not a flare, light or another manmade object, it was clearly some technology that we don't know exists. I am hesitant to say it was a UFO because of where I saw it, rather it could be our secret technology. Absolutely incredible experience. I've seen a few videos that looked 100% like what I saw, glowing orange, pulsating mini suns.

You're right about 2 nearby peaks being almost as good, but not quite. I almost made it to one of them, but it was 10x or maybe even 20x as hard as Tikaboo, and I turned back short of the peak due to sunset/safety concerns on my 2ND DAY of my attempt, short of where I could even see Area 51 at all. There is a quicker way in than I took, but also extremely difficult, and much more likely to be spotted just as easily as going up Tikaboo. The third peak, I've not even bothered figuring out a route to.
When I say 10x as difficult, I mean both the much longer and more grueling hike, and the danger level on much steeper and more unforgiving terrain. Plus the fact your body might not be found for years, instead of weeks.

Those circle shaped lights that fade out.. I posted a vid on my tt last night, from the night of January 3rd (same night that we got an email from the airforce base that they are restricting access all of a sudden...sporting events will be relocated etc. Have to have special passes to get on now all of a sudden..). I caught several round balls of light that would just appear all of a sudden, fade out, and a new one would appear diagonal from it or parallel to it...or be going across the bottom/top horizontally, faster, as a really bright one was going vertical...it was really weird...i have 20 minutes of film of this happening before i went inside because it got too cold.

You're headed "up" to the highest point...so just always choose the path that is going higher and you'll eventually get there. Unless that path has obstacles, you're good to go...

When I lived in Vegas from 2002 until 2016....my son in law and would go to entrance and get the lawn chairs and just watch the skies and drink coffee until early morning.... Coolest thing we saw from that spot 3 to 5 flares dropped shot up from just beyond the ridge looking south....but it was fun

That's kinda a a RED FLAG if someone just up and left their sleeping bag and tent behind, don't you think? I don't care where you're at, that's not normal.

I agree with "pack it in, pack it out, leave no trace". I assume that was a tent, sleeping bag left by someone? But those are not normal, leave behind trash. Appears someone did the same as you and may have gotten lost , injured or worse and could not return to their canp?

people do this all the time. at any free camping area, it is cheaper to buy a tent and sleeping bag than it is to rent a motel room.

I've done the same thing, but in a car! He's 20 miles in, off the main road at the base of Tikaboo... and it does get real frosty out here.
I can't believe the trash that's out there now!
Out of the three times I've been out there, i saw a ufo above the horizon doing some zig-zag maneuvers above the papoose (S-4 area), and once on my last visit i viewed a spherical bright white object fly silently towards the east up and out of (Area51 proper).
Take it for whatever it means... but the main reason i got interested in Area 51 was because i witnessed back in Nov'99 a huge silent black triangle with the three white lights and with a small white escort orb off to its left side, the craft made a navigationally controlled banked left hand turn which allowed me to view the cockpit... which had that cool avionics Cerulean glow coming from it.
Anyways... anyone the goes up to Tikaboo in winter deserves a subscription from me.
    You're welcome

Also if you look on GE there is a new hanger etc on the NE of the base ..
Also the base itself was home to the 5577th Sqd that flew and tested all the Captured / Obtained Russian Aircraft .

I would have been more freaked out if there was an abandoned vehicle at the bottom or somewhere along the road but there wasn't. I'm fairly sure someone just didn't want to carry their gear back down.

Excellent video! Isn't a great hike with some amazing views? The first time I hiked Tikaboo, it was in 2011 and the "climate monitoring station" didn't exist. When I returned in 2014, the weather station had been installed. There is another one down in Rachel, when you think about it it's a great idea to keep tabs on visitors outside of Groom Lake. I actually proposed to my significant other after we got to the top of Tikaboo Peak. One thing I really liked about the hike was the section of rock that contained fossils. I thought that was pretty neat. You had good views for your hike as the weather wasn't too bad. Sometimes the haze from the dirt, haze, and heat can really hide any view of the base.

It sure is interesting when those jets fly over the canyon as the sound is out of this world, with everything shaking. They do that as an intimidation tactic. I remember my first time, less than 5 minutes after arriving, a jet flew really fast overhead and it sounded and felt like a sonic boom. I'm sure there have been a few people who traveled there, experienced that sonic boom, and then left right away without doing the hike. It's nerve racking.

    • @FreedomMountain63
      @FreedomMountain63 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Sonic booms are common around there. Anyone living in Alamo could tell you that.
