Join me as I finally arrive in Cebu, wrapping up my long cycling journey through the Philippines. In this vlog, I share my experience reaching Cebu City while battling sickness, exploring the chaotic yet vibrant Carbon Night Market, and discovering more about this bustling urban hub.
My day started early at 6 AM, as I headed toward Cebu City, just 40 km away from my previous stop. Despite feeling a bit under the weather, I rode along the flat highways, avoiding mountainous terrain. After passing through Naga City, a busy and crowded area with long traffic jams, I eventually made it to the heart of Cebu. I checked into the Pungko Pungko Hostel in Llorente, paying 1000 pesos for a decent, quiet room to recover from my illness.
The following day, I set out to explore Carbon Bazaar, Cebu's famous night market. However, the market wasn’t what I expected-it was chaotic, with unorganized stalls and narrow roads, yet still full of life and local culture. I also visited Freedom Park, a historic spot in the city, where some children approached me for money. From there, I noticed the massive highway that leads to Mactan Island, where the Mactan-Cebu International Airport is located.
Although I couldn’t explore much due to my sickness and the weather, I made time to grab some fast food at KFC and McDonald’s. I also observed Cebu’s modern side, with brand-name malls like SM Mall and Ayala Center dominating the cityscape.
Cebu City: Cebu City is one of the most important urban centers in the Philippines, often referred to as the 'Queen City of the South.' It is known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and as a gateway to some of the country’s most beautiful islands and beaches. Despite being a rapidly growing city with modern shopping centers, it still retains a sense of local charm with bustling markets like Carbon Bazaar and historical sites like Fort San Pedro and Magellan's Cross.
Mactan-Cebu International Airport: The Mactan-Cebu International Airport is the second busiest airport in the Philippines, after Manila. Located on Mactan Island, just a few kilometers from Cebu City, it serves as a major gateway to the Visayas and Mindanao regions, as well as international destinations. The airport is crucial for both domestic and international travelers, connecting Cebu to major global hubs.
Carbon Night Market: Carbon Market is the oldest and largest public market in Cebu, offering a diverse range of goods, from fresh produce to handmade crafts. The night market is especially lively, attracting locals and tourists alike, but it can be chaotic, with tightly packed stalls and an unorganized layout. Despite its imperfections, it provides a glimpse into the everyday life and culture of the people of Cebu.

I see city is worse then rural area
enjoyed well in all videos from village and small city but really top cities are worst if I give rating 2out of 10
