At this age, my Beatles was quite limited although I was a fan. When this version came out it was indeed peak baggy era here in the UK. I remember the top he wore as I really wanted that exact one lol. It is very poppy even compared to other songs of the time, but it has a charm and nostalgia at least.
It wasn't late nineties. It was 89 when they started & I love the other tracks in this 12" more & their album is my favourite album of all time. Love them

This was a corporate attempt to cash in on what they saw as trend, The real bands at the time weren't fake
But still pretty cool version of the song I think, never heard anything quite like it 😎
