I like how the interview @4:50 looks like there are extra people gathered around listening in. I could actually go through each photo as it is an absolutely amazing set, especially considering it was by accident!
What a wonderful mistake. Kudos for the editing to show both shots. I love the results! Only thing to regret is the blank Portra roll. Bravo my friend.
The colours are fabulous, and the double or even triple layers are fascinating. The results may be accidental but the fact that so many of the overlays work is the result of a keen eye and excellence in composition for each of the 72 frames. I like the biker sandwiched between the double selfies especially
So many great pictures and it all was just an accident! I really like the first one combining day and night, the guy selling hats compined with the old couple.
Honestly.... these double exposure photos are absolutely amazing. To me they tell a broader story than just one frame at times. Maybe a couple more experimental videos and techniques like this. Dios te bendiga hermano. Enjoy Mexico.
What a happy accident. I have never had mistakes that turned out this nice. Your favorite of your top images is my favorite as well. Also really liked the first and third of your favorites.
I just bought a Konica autoreflex dating from the '60's which AFAIK is the only slr camera ever made which allows switching between half frame and full frame during a roll. So now I can get 72 shots on one roll of film (or 36, or 57, or 66 or any number between 36-72) just by switching a lever as I shoot. I know it's got nothing to do with the theme here which is double exposures, but an interesting camera which fits the "72 shots on one roll of 35mm" brief.
yes, your first print is the best for me..I love the art & composition of it. maybe, i think your idea about 72 exp by one roll is good to try in my NikonL35 someday. good shots sir, anyway.
Ansel Adam’s in one of his trilogy of photography books explained a lot about pre-exposing film as a prep for better low-light photography. It made the film more sensitive by filling in the minimum exposure to get any film density above film base + fog. But that was about B&W materials.
lol. based on the title, I thought you had a hack to turn the Leica into an olympus pen half-frame camera. your happy accident was even better. love the results. some really interesting images. love the first and last prints.
I've actually recently encountered an issue with my contax T2, probably to do with the film advance, where it just double/triple exposes every photo. It's a real pain but I can see why some of the results are pleasing to look at.
something similar happened to me in Iran, but I didn‘t loaded the roll twice but somehow the film did‘t got transported properly in my M6 and I also got double exposures.. first I was also quite annoyed but I got some super poetic shots with interiors from a party combined with city views 👌🏼
Film just got this "magic" vibe. Love the first image here :D Just bought an old Pentax ashia spotmatic 1000 with a supera takumar 28 F3.5 and a 50 F1.4 , and gone trough my first roll of film (kodak Gold 200) now theres Kodak Ektar in the camera :D , cant wait to get out shooting again!
Of course this might be a lot of work for a TH-cam video or a regular print, but if you ever do an exhibition or something this would be a star attraction for me for sure!
This is what you call Serendipity 😁👏🙌....I really like how alot of these came out...I especially love the 4th or 5th one with the old man walking on the right at night and the hat vendor on the left at day and the guy on the vending machine on the bodega 🔥... Very cool!👌p.s. you should try Lomography 800.. shooting it now and love it ..
Aw man, but great images on top of great images. So what more can we ask for? I love the image with the biker, and the one with the head on head. The last image in the shooting part is also interesting, the fade from beach to city.
hey sir, love this video, fav pic was the one by the sea where the guy was taking a selfie. May I ask what your recording setup is like? I'd love to make videos like this
Double exposures are a blast. I tend to underexpose more but you got pretty good results with a consistent feel to them. Not going to listen to your complaint about being too expensive when you shoot with a Leica. Hey you made your bed to lay in.
After having understood the title 'How to get 72 shots on one roll of 35mm film' I just had to laugh my ass off :-)))))))))))))))))))))))))) As tragic this incident was. Sorry. I will keep watching now and some people already praised the quality of this accident and its images. I am anxious to find out. Auf wiedersehen ;-)
These turned out very cool!!
Thank you! Congratulations, you are the winner of the print. Can you shoot me a message over on Instagram or through my website?
Awesome episode ! Double exposures are really interesting. The gambling guy, the biker and the old couple are absolutely perfect.
Multilayered composition has become an art by itself 👏👏👏
Amazing double exposure shots ! Yes, the last one is the best... Congratulations ;)
Very interesting compositions and beautiful pictures!
Great video Robin. A lot of good images on this one, I'm def going to try some double exposures soon :D
I like how the interview @4:50 looks like there are extra people gathered around listening in. I could actually go through each photo as it is an absolutely amazing set, especially considering it was by accident!
I did the same thing once :)) got the same feeling when the lab told me that i made double exposes! Then i seen the pictures! I love them!
Mach weiter so Robin.. Love your work !!! Aufwiedersehen :)
absolutely love this happy accident! the one at 4:23 blew me away
also at 10:58!!
Sick photos!!! Full serendipity!
What a wonderful mistake. Kudos for the editing to show both shots. I love the results! Only thing to regret is the blank Portra roll. Bravo my friend.
I love the one with the motorcycle and the people in red !!
Something so surreal about those double exposures, absolutely love the first print you looked at
I love happy accidents like this, Great images!
something this man doesn't do right?
I loved all of them, you motivated me to try something like that in my city
I hope the Mexico episodes never end
Thank you Alvarez! The episodes will keep coming for a bit. :D
The shot that's is split 50/50 day and night just works so well 👌🏻

Yeah the last print is my favourite too ❤️
So many great pictures and it all was just an accident!

Love it. Cool photos👌📷
Favourite channel ❤❤
Very interesting results! :)
Your skills created unexpected and great frames!
"No mistakes, just happy accidents" Great episode!!!
Your result is absolutely not bad!
Another excellent episode
Pretty cool Robin. I like #1 or #3 the best personally.
I just bought a Konica autoreflex dating from the '60's which AFAIK is the only slr camera ever made which allows switching between half frame and full frame during a roll.

Great! You could shoot one roll for years and have all your photos on one single one! :D
No. 2 is so good 😊
yes, your first print is the best for me..I love the art & composition of it. maybe, i think your idea about 72 exp by one roll is good to try in my NikonL35 someday. good shots sir, anyway.
I can imagine how much work the editing for this episode was :D really cool images!
I like that you took something that for most people would be a disaster and stayed positive 👍 i love this video 👌
I must say this has inspired me to try double exposing a roll at some point! My favorite print has to be the first one. Really incredible results!
Really interesting results. Like two dimensions in time, merging.
Ansel Adam’s in one of his trilogy of photography books explained a lot about pre-exposing film as a prep for better low-light photography. It made the film more sensitive by filling in the minimum exposure to get any film density above film base + fog. But that was about B&W materials.
Interesting, haven't heard about that before!
Unintentional double exposures are the best when they work this good
Ì like the way you edited the video so you can see where all the double exposures come from
Those were so epic you’re like the miles Davis of photography with this set
Great shots!
Incredible work, I did the same mistake with a bw film, there were actually some keepers by. The last print is incredible
lol. based on the title, I thought you had a hack to turn the Leica into an olympus pen half-frame camera. your happy accident was even better. love the results. some really interesting images. love the first and last prints.
On half frame you could get even more shots with double exposures. :D
Great photos
As a marker i stared twisting the end of the rolls for the ones i intend develop
I usually do that too but not this time though. :D
awesome episode
Keep doing the double exposures
I think they’re very interesting

Would love to go back there and shoot some film. It's such a great place for photography!
I'll wait for the zine of Mexico for whenever you do it!
Film just got this "magic" vibe. Love the first image here :D
Just bought an old Pentax ashia spotmatic 1000 with a supera takumar 28 F3.5 and a 50 F1.4 , and gone trough my first roll of film (kodak Gold 200) now theres Kodak Ektar in the camera :D , cant wait to get out shooting again!
Great! Just picked up some rolls of Kodak Gold 200 myself. For the price it's a very nice film stock.
It would be really interesting if you can print out the whole negative as one giant roll of print.
Then you need to scan the roll in one which isn't possible but you could stitch the photos in post but that's a lot of work.
Of course this might be a lot of work for a TH-cam video or a regular print, but if you ever do an exhibition or something this would be a star attraction for me for sure!

Thank you! I love Lomo 800 and there are already some video with it on my channel. :)
@@therealsirrobin cool will look for those..🙏🙏
Absolutely wonderful images, the double exp is such a fascinating agglomeration of information/imagery/moments.
Amacing shots, would love to catch one off yours one day..
Interesting!
I've done the same thing myself 😆
I've also made a few visits to Mazatlan and had some very interesting experiences...
Aw man, but great images on top of great images. So what more can we ask for? I love the image with the biker, and the one with the head on head. The last image in the shooting part is also interesting, the fade from beach to city.

It's mentioned in the video description.
Nice unexpected effects 😅👍 they look epic! 😍
Do you plan an episode at night with the Q2 mono? It would be great to see😉
Thank you! Yes, a low light episode with the Q2M will come!
During the intro, I thought you were going to say that you left the lens cap on! Tolle Fotos, sogar die doppelt belichteten Bilder!
That would make for some interesting, although a little underexposed shots. :D
Amazing.
Even when you do a mistake like this, your photos look still great! How do you do that? 😄
And the biker one is indeed the greatest of this series.
That was pretty interesting, and some shots were pretty cool what a happy mistake!
Reminds me of Fan Ho’s composites
I've done the same thing before. The result is quite interesting.
wow that was extremely interesting. i'm usually not a fan of double exposures but that convinced me! Even if it was a coincidence. 😀
You should give it a try. :D
I thought this video was going to be about half frame, silly me. Great shots and cool double exposures.
The guy on the motorcycle looked like he was driving through a wall
Do a double exposure episode again!
That would be an idea for a future episodes and it will be interesting to see how the shots turn out when this is done on purpose.
Double exposures are a blast. I tend to underexpose more but you got pretty good results with a consistent feel to them. Not going to listen to your complaint about being too expensive when you shoot with a Leica. Hey you made your bed to lay in.
Maybe I got my Leica for really cheap? ;)

Danke dir Michael!
Unexpected photo art. We should try street photography double exposures intentionally!
This is the real "Double X" film :) Nice accident!
Nice!!
random winner candidate here!
Sehr interessant! Ein inspirierender „Fehler“!
Love the effect, well done, even though it was a mistake hehehe.
Witzige Situation.
Ich sollte auch so was experimentieren
Very lomo, I like them.

Best clickbait ever lol
1 Roll of 35 mm film only allows 36 photos to be taken
Not necessarily! I had rolls where I ended up with 38 frames.
